Abstract:Qiong Yao became famous for her first novel "Outside the Window", and after that she was crowned as the prolific female writer in the aspect of romantic novels in the eighties of the 20th century for her large number of works, arousing a Qiong Yao heat which continued until the 1990’s. The emergence of new generation of writers such as Xi Juan, Yan Yan replaced Qiong Yao’s mode of the"innocent series", changed the images of the majority of women in Qiong Yao’s romantic novels being delicate and passive, and carved up the market of romantic novels by means of replacing it with women's desires as the main body. The new generation of writers changed the previous narrative mode of Qiong Yao’s romantic novels, thus cooling down the Qiong Yao heat. Nevertheless, the narrative manner from the female perspective pioneered by Qiong Yao inverted the main bodies of the observing and the being observed, and this still successfully pushed Qiong Yao’s romantic novels to a position of classic novel.
