Abstract:Nowadays the intensification of eutrophication led that algae bloom happened frequently and water environment got dete-rioration.Therefore,we could make use of the wetland plants’ allelopathy to inhibit the growth of algae and improve water quality. This paper based on seeing about the wetlands system of Yellow River,Huaihe River and Haihe River and took typical emergent plants like Acorus calamus and Typha latifolia for example. The experiment used 0.1×Hoagland pure culture solution to cultivate Acorus calamus and Typha latifolia, took their culture solution to cultivate Microcystis aeruginosa Ktz and Anabeana Bory, studied the influence of their solution on the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa and Anabeana Bory to estimate the effect of emergent plants’ allelopathy to them. The results showed that among the culture solution of Acorus calamus and Typha latifolia, the inhibitory effect of Acorus calamus on Microcystis aeruginosais was stronger;the inhibitory effect of Typha latifolia on Anabeana Bory was stronger, but it advanced the growth of Microcystis aeruginosa;it was indicated that two emergent plants both influenced the growth of algae.Further research showed that the effect of allelopathy had obvious concentration-effect.The study indicated that protection and re-covery of wetland emergent plants community was very important to improve the water quality. We should choose appropriate plants according to the type of deleterious algae when we use the theory of allelopathy to purify the polluted water environment.
