Abstract:We study families formed with subsets of any set X which are quantum logics but which are not Boolean algebras. We consider sequences of measures defined on a sets quantum logics and valued on an effect algebra and obtain a sufficient condition for a sequences of such measures to be uniformly strongly additive with respect to order topology of effect algebras.

Abstract:A complex fuzzy Lie algebra is a fuzzy Lie algebra whose membership function takes values in the unit circle in the complex plane. In this paper, we deine the complex fuzzy Lie subalgebras and complex fuzzy ideals of Lie algebras. Then, we investigate some of characteristics of complex fuzzy Lie subalgebras. The relationship between complex fuzzy Lie subalgebras and fuzzy Lie subalgebras is also investigated. Finally, we define the image and the inverse image of complex fuzzy Lie subalgebra under Lie algebra homomorphism. The properties of complex fuzzy Lie subalgebras and complex fuzzy ideals under homomorphisms of Lie algebras are studied.

Abstract:In this paper, we show that the belief and plausibility measures defined on finite level fuzzy subset space are the lower and upper probabilities, respectively, of probability measures compatible with the fuzzy Dempster-Shafer (D-S) belief structure. We first introduce a probability measure which is additive on finite-level fuzzy sets space and show that the belief and plausibility measures determined by the fuzzy D-S belief structure are upper-additive and sub-additive, respectively. And then we discuss an objective function whose solutions correspond to a class of probability measures compatible with the fuzzy D-S belief structure. Lastly, a specific probability measure compatible with the fuzzy D-S belief structure is presented.

Abstract:We discuss L-fuzzy semilattices and their ideals and establish some interesting properties. In particular we show that the lattice of all L-fuzzy ideals of a semilattice is an algebraic lattice if the valuation lattice L is algebraic.

Abstract:In this paper, dual fuzzy rough approximation operators determined by a fuzzy implication operator ${\cal I}$ in infinite universes of discourse are first introduced. Measurable structures of ${\cal I}$-fuzzy rough sets are then discussed. It is shown that the family of all definable sets in an ${\cal I}$-fuzzy rough set algebra derived from a reflexive fuzzy space forms a σ-fuzzy algebra. In a finite universe of discourse, the family of all definable sets in a serial ${\cal I}$-fuzzy rough set algebra is a fuzzy algebra, and conversely if a σ-fuzzy algebra is generated by a crisp algebra, then there must exist an ${\cal I}$-fuzzy rough set algebra such that the family of all definable sets is exactly the given σ-fuzzy algebra.

Abstract:In this paper, we present an investigation of quantale algebras (Q-algebras for short) as lattice-valued quantales (Q-quantales for short). First, we prove that the set of all fuzzy ideals of a commutative ring with appropriate operations is a [0, 1]-quantale. Furthermore, we discuss some properties of localic nuclei on Q-algebras, and show that the category of Q-algebras with the quantale structures being frames is a full reflective subcategory of the category of Q-algebras. From this result, we can conclude that the category of L-frames is a full reflective subcategory of the category of L-quantales, where L is a frame. Finally, we build and characterize the Q-quantale completions of a Q-ordered semigroup.

Abstract:In this paper, we apply a class of fuzzy modifiers based on fuzzy relations in description logics (DLs) to represent complex imprecise and incomplete knowledge. We investigate how to introduce the fuzzy modifiers into a fuzzy description logic ALC. The fuzzy description logic ALC with the fuzzy modifiers, called FALCM in the paper, has a more expressive capacity to represent imprecise and incomplete knowledge. At last, we give the reasoning algorithms for the satisfiability of FALCM concepts.

Abstract:The author studies the Smarandache Fuzzy Algebra, which, like its predecessor Fuzzy Algebra, arose from the need to define structures that were more compatible with the real world where the grey areas mattered, not only black or white. This book has seven chapters, which are divided into two parts. Part I contains the first chapter, and Part II encloses the remaining six chapters. In the first chapter (which also forms the first part), which is subdivided into twelve sections, we deal with eleven distinct fuzzy algebraic concepts and in the concluding section list the miscellaneous properties of fuzzy algebra. The eleven fuzzy algebraic concepts which we analyze are fuzzy sets, fuzzy subgroups, fuzzy sub-bigroups, fuzzy rings, fuzzy birings, fuzzy fields, fuzzy semirings, fuzzy near-rings, fuzzy vector spaces, fuzzy semigroups and fuzzy half-groupoids. The results used in these sections are extensive and we have succeeded in presenting new concepts defined by several researchers.

Abstract:An - fuzzy topological convergence structure on a set is a mapping which defines a degree in for any - filter (of crisp degree) on to be convergent to a molecule in . By means of - fuzzy topological neighborhood operators, we show that the category of - fuzzy topological convergence spaces is isomorphic to the category of - fuzzy topological spaces. Moreover, two characterizations of - topological spaces are presented and the relationship with other convergence spaces is concretely constructed.

Abstract:<p>Implications are one of the key operations in fuzzy logic and approximate reasoning. We prove that the Dishkant arrow in a lattice effect algebra is a partial triangular implication if and only if the lattice effect algebra is an MV-effect algebra. Then we show that a certain implication based on the Sasaki arrow is a partial triangular implication. Furthermore, we propose a new partial triangular implication, which is also a fuzzy implication in lattice effect algebras.</p>

Abstract:We present a generalisation of the theory of quantitative algebras of Mardare, Panangaden and Plotkin where (i) the carriers of quantitative algebras are not restricted to be metric spaces and can be arbitrary fuzzy relations or generalised metric spaces, and (ii) the interpretations of the algebraic operations are not required to be nonexpansive. Our main results include: a novel sound and complete proof system, the proof that free quantitative algebras always exist, the proof of strict monadicity of the induced Free-Forgetful adjunction, the result that all monads (on fuzzy relations) that lift finitary monads (on sets) admit a quantitative equational presentation.

Abstract:Based on quantale-enriched category, we consider algebras with compatible quantale-enriched structures, which can be viewed as fuzzification of ordered algebraic structures. We mainly study groupoids and semigroups with compatible quantale-enriched structures from this viewpoint. Some basic concepts such as ideals, homomorphisms, residuated quantale-enriched groupoids are developed and some examples of them are given. Our approach gives a complement to the approach initiated by Rosenfeld to study fuzzy abstract algebra, and these two approaches are combined in the present paper to study fuzzy aspects of abstract algebra structures.

Abstract:The main object of this paper is to define certain new spaces of statistically convergent and strongly summable sequences of fuzzy numbers. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for a sequence of fuzzy numbers to be fuzzy λ -statistically pre-Cauchy and fuzzy λ -statistically convergent. We also establish some inclusion relations between the associated sets w F ( M , p , λ ) and S F ( λ ) supported by some numerical examples.

Abstract:In a series of papers Klement et al. investigated discrete integrals such as the Choquet and Sugeno integral and their axiomatization. As part of their study they showed that universal integrals are based on semicopulas, and they provided lower and upper bounds of the integral operations based on a given semicopula. These real-valued resp. unit interval valued integrals can be considered as proper aggregation tool in the context of fuzzy sets. The aim of the current paper is to generalize this approach to so-called L -fuzzy sets and relations, i.e., fuzzy sets and relations that use an arbitrary Heyting algebra L as membership degree instead of the unit interval. Furthermore, we present the theory within arrow categories, i.e., we abstract from concrete sets and relations and work within a suitable algebraic framework. The current paper also shows that the results of the previous work can be proven without referring to the real numbers and specific measures such as the Lebesque measure and the induced measurable spaces.

Abstract:In this paper we deal with the problem of extending Zadeh's operators on fuzzy sets (FSs) to interval-valued (IVFSs), set-valued (SVFSs) and type-2 (T2FSs) fuzzy sets. Namely, it is known that seeing FSs as SVFSs, or T2FSs, whose membership degrees are singletons is not order-preserving. We then describe a family of lattice embeddings from FSs to SVFSs. Alternatively, if the former singleton viewpoint is required, we reformulate the intersection on hesitant fuzzy sets and introduce what we have called closed-valued fuzzy sets. This new type of fuzzy sets extends standard union and intersection on FSs. In addition, it allows handling together membership degrees of different nature as, for instance, closed intervals and finite sets. Finally, all these constructions are viewed as T2FSs forming a chain of lattices.

Abstract:This study aimed to investigate the degree to which an L -fuzzy subset of a vector space could be considered an L -fuzzy vector subspace. Characterizations of this relationship were provided, and a novel approach to the fuzzification of a vector space was introduced. In the case where L was a complete distributive lattice, an L -fuzzy convex structure was obtained using L -fuzzy vector subspace degrees, thereby forming an L -fuzzy convex space. Additionally, it was proved that a linear mapping between vector spaces precisely corresponded to an L -fuzzy convexity-preserving mappings and L -fuzzy convex-to-convex mappings.

Abstract:The concept of fuzzy complete lattice congruence relation on fuzzy complete lattice is defined,and the relation between fuzzy complete lattice congruence and fuzzy closure operator is discussed.It is proved that in a fuzzy complete lattice,the fuzzy poset of fuzzy complete lattice congruence relations is fuzzy order isomorphic to the fuzzy poset of fuzzy closure operators.The quotient of a fuzzy complete lattice congruence relation is defined.It is also proved that the image of a fuzzy complete lattice under a surjective fuzzy complete lattice morphism is fuzzy order isomorphic to the quotient of the fuzzy complete lattice congruence relation induced by the fuzzy complete lattice morphism.
