Partial cloning and sequene analysis of duck plague virus genomic DNA

Abstract:Duck plague virus(DPV) genomic DNA was digested by restriction endonucleases BamHⅠ、EcoRⅠ、HindⅢ、PstⅠand SalⅠ.2～6 kb DNA fragments were extracted and inserted into vector pUC19 to construct DPV genomic library.Some of the clones were sequenced and five new genes were found which were named UL33、UL34、UL45、UL46 and UL47.They showed homology to the corresponding genes of the members of Alphaherpesvirinae by sequence alignments on a certain extent.This is the first report of the DPV genes above.
