Present Situation and Proposed Method of Recycling Iron and Copper from Copper Slag

Abstract:The copper slag has high contents of iron and copper,thus has a high recycling value.Introduces and analyzes systematically the recycling methods of iron and copper in the slag and its limitation at home and abroad,and believes that coal-based direct reduction followed magnetic separation and flotation method should be suitable for the efficient recycling of iron and copper in the copper slag because the iron-bearing minerals in the slag will be transformed into metallic iron recovered easily by magnetic separation,and the copper-bearing minerals will be changed into metallic copper recycled by flotation.
