A study on the only child′s ability of number research and personality traits

Abstract:The focus on exploring the personality and the capability of handling emergencies was made among the freshman who is the only child of the family.It carries out the task by applying 16PF questionnaires and FST to 1498 freshmen of Northwest University.The freshmen were divided into two groups of research group(those who are from only-child families)and control group(those who are from more-children families).The data were collected by DXC-IV.Compared with the more-children group,those who are from only-child families have much higher 16PF(p<0.01);Where as the scores on qualities of perseverance,worrying and autonomy are lower(p<0.05);Scores on FST is rather high(p<0.01).Freshmen from only-child families have superiority in mentality compared with those from more-children families.There should be relevant programs in terms of developing the mentality and reaction capability for students from only-child families and more-children families respectively.
