X(1835): Natural Candidate Ofη′’s Second Radial Excitation

Abstract:Recently BES collaboration observed one interesting resonance X(1835). We point out that its mass, total width, production rate, and decay pattern favor its assignment as the second radial excitation of eta(') meson very naturally.

Nature of X(3872) from recent BESIII data: Considering the universal feature of an S-wave threshold resonance

Abstract:We analyze the recent data from the BESIII collaboration on the $X(3872)$ state in the $J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$ and $D^0\bar{D}^0\pi^0$ decay channels. The quantum number and mass of the $X(3872)$ state allow us to exploit the universal feature of the very near-threshold $D\bar D^*$ scattering in the $S$ wave. The analysis of $J/\psi\pi^+\pi^-$ data and $D^0\bar{D}^0\pi^0$ data separately as well as the combined analysis of these data together, all support the conclusion that $X(3872)$ is an extremely weakly bound charm meson molecule.

Radially Excited States of 1P Charmonia and X(3872)

Abstract: The excited states of charmonia are numerically investigated in quenched lattice QCD with improved gauge and Wilson fermion actions formulated on anisotropic lattices. Through a constrained curve fitting algorithm, the masses of the first excited states in $0^{++}$, $1^{++}$, and $1^{+-}$ channels are determined to be 3.825(88), 3.853(57), and 3.858(70) GeV, respectively. Furthormore, a node structure is also observed in the Bethe-Salpeter amplitude of the $1^{++}$ first excited state. These observations indicate that X(3872) could be the first radial excitation of $\chi_{c1}$.
Productions of X(1835) As Baryonium with Sizable Gluon Content

Abstract:. X (1835) has been treated as a baryonium with sizable gluon content, and to be almost flavor singlet. This picture allows us to rationally understand X (1835) production in J /ψ radiative decays, and its large couplings with p ¯, η ′ ππ. The processes ϒ(1 S ) → γ X (1835) and J /ψ → ω X (1835) have been examined. It has been found that Br (ϒ(1 S ) → γ X (1835)) Br ( X (1835) → p ¯) < 6.45×10 -7 , which is compatible with CLEO's recent experimental result (Phys. Rev. D 73 , 032001 (2006) hep-ex/0510015). The branching fractions Br ( J /ψ → ω X (1835)), Br ( J /ψ → ρ X (1835)) with X (1835) → p ¯ and X (1835) → η ′ π + π - have been estimated by the quark-pair creation model. We show that they are heavily suppressed, so the signal of X (1835) is very difficult, if not impossible, to be observed in these processes. The experimental checks for these estimations are expected. The existence of the baryonium nonet is conjectured, and a model-independent derivation of their production branching fractions is presented.

Abstract:Motivated by the newly observed resonance X(2600) by BESIII Collaboration, we examine the trigluon glueball interpretation for it in the framework of QCD sum rules. We evaluate the mass spectra of the trigluon glueballs with quantum numbers 0−+ and 2−+ up to dimension 8 condensate in the operator product expansion. Our numerical results indicate that the mass of the 2−+ trigluon glueball is about 2.66±0.06 GeV , which is consistent with the mass of the X(2600) within the uncertainties, while 0−+ has a mass of 2.01±0.14 GeV . Abstract:Peking University, Beijing 100871, China 2Center for High Energy Physics, Peking University, Beijing 100871, China Abstract The semi-inclusive B-meson decay into spin-singlet D-wave 2−+ charmonium, B → ηc2 +X, is studied in non-relativistic QCD (NRQCD). Both color-singlet and color-octet contributions are calculated at next-to-leading order (NLO) in the strong coupling constant αs. The non-perturbative long-distance matrix elements are evaluated using operator evolution equations. It is found that the color-singlet D2 contribution is tiny, while the color-octet channels make dominant contributions. The estimated branching ratio B(B → ηc2 + X) is about 0.41 × 10−4 in the Naive Dimensional Regularization (NDR) scheme and 1.24 × 10−4 in the t’Hooft-Veltman (HV) scheme, with renormalization scale μ = mb = 4.8GeV. The scheme-sensitivity of these numerical results is due to cancelation between 1S [8] 0 and 1P [8] 1 contributions. The μ-dependence curves of NLO branching ratios in both schemes are also shown, with μ varying from mb 2 to 2mb and the NRQCD factorization or renormalization scale μΛ taken to be 2mc. Comparison of the estimated branching ratio of B → ηc2 +X with the observed branching ratio of B → X(3872) +K may lead to the conclusion that X(3872) is unlikely to be the 2−+ charmonium state ηc2.
Observation of the X17 anomaly in the decay of the Giant Dipole Resonance of $^8$Be

Abstract:Angular correlation spectra of $e^+e^-$ pairs produced in the $^{7}$Li($p$,$\gamma$)$^{8}$Be nuclear reaction were studied at a proton beam energy of $E_p$~=~4.0~MeV, which corresponds to the excitation energy of the Giant Dipole Resonance (GDR) in $^8$Be. The spectra measured show a peak like anomaly at 120$^\circ$ and a broader anomaly also above 140$^\circ$. Both anomalies could consistently be described by assuming that the same hypothetical X17 particle was created both in the ground-state transition and in the transition going to the broad ($\Gamma$=1.5~MeV), first excited state in $^8$Be. The invariant mass of the particle, which was derived to be $m_Xc^2 = 16.95 \pm 0.48$(stat.)~MeV, agrees well with our previously published values.

Abstract:Inspired by the event accumulation around 2.6 GeV in the η′π+π- invariant mass spectrum of J/ψ→γη′π+π-, which was reported by the BESIII Collaboration, we carry out the study of the mass spectrum and decay behavior of four radial excitations in the pseudoscalar meson family, which include η(′)(6S) and η(′)(7S). Combining with these analysis, we present the calculation of the reactions induced by a pion or kaon on the proton target which are relevant to these four discussed states. According to this information, we give concrete experimental suggestion of searching for them, which will become a new task for future experiments.

X(1576) As Diquark–antidiquark Bound State

Abstract:We propose that the broad 1−− resonance structure recently discovered by BES in J/ψ→K+K−π0 is the P-wave excitation of a diquark–antidiquark bound state. This interpretation implies that there exists a negative parity, vector nonet. A rough estimate of the mass spectrum of the nonet is presented, and the prediction for the mass of X(1576) is consistent with the experimental data. The OZI allowed strong decays are studied, it can decay into two pseudoscalars or one pseudoscalar plus one vector meson. A crucial prediction is that X(1576) should dominantly decay into K+K−, KLKS, ϕπ0. The observation of I3=1 or I3=−1 states which predominantly decays into strange mesons could provide another important test to our proposal. To search the charged I3=1 isospin partner of X(1576), careful search in J/ψ→K+KLπ−, J/ψ→K+KSπ− and J/ψ→ϕπ+π− is suggested.

Abstract:The decay channel J/{psi}{yields}{gamma}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{eta}{sup '} is analyzed using a sample of 5.8x10{sup 7} J/{psi} events collected with the BESII detector. A resonance, the X(1835), is observed in the {pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{eta}{sup '} invariant-mass spectrum with a statistical significance of 7.7{sigma}. A fit with a Breit-Wigner function yields a mass M=1833.7{+-}6.1(stat){+-}2.7(syst) MeV/c{sup 2}, a width {gamma}=67.7{+-}20.3(stat){+-}7.7(syst) MeV/c{sup 2}, and a product branching fraction B(J/{psi}{yields}{gamma}X){center_dot}B(X{yields}{pi}{sup +}{pi}{sup -}{eta}{sup '})=[2.2{+-}0.4(stat){+-}0.4(syst)]x10{sup -4}. The mass and width of the X(1835) are not compatible with any known meson resonance. Its properties are consistent with expectations for the state that produces the strong pp mass threshold enhancement observed in the J/{psi}{yields}{gamma}pp process at BESII.
Fe b 20 22 QCD axial anomaly enhances the ηη ′ decay of the hybrid candidate η 1 ( 1855 )

Abstract:We study the hybrid mesons with the exotic quantum number IJ = 01 and investigate their decays into the ηη, a1(1260)π, f1(1285)η, f1(1420)η, K1(1270)K̄, and K1(1400)K̄ channels. We find that the QCD axial anomaly significantly enhances the decay width of the ηη channel although this mode is strongly suppressed by the small P -wave phase space. Our results support the interpretation of the η1(1855) recently observed by BESIII as the s̄sg hybrid meson of I J = 01. The QCD axial anomaly ensures the ηη decay mode to be a characteristic signal of the hybrid nature of the η1(1855).
Resonance $X(7300)$: excited $2S$ tetraquark or hadronic molecule $χ_{c1}χ_{c1}$?

Abstract:We explore the first radial excitation $X_{\mathrm{4c}}^{\ast}$ of the fully charmed diquark-antidiquark state $X_{\mathrm{4c}}=cc\overline{c}\overline{c} $ built of axial-vector components, and the hadronic molecule $\mathcal{M} =\chi_{c1}\chi_{c1}$. The masses and current couplings of these scalar states are calculated in the context of the QCD two-point sum rule approach. The full widths of $X_{\mathrm{4c}}^{\ast}$ and $\mathcal{M}$ are evaluated by taking into account their kinematically allowed decay channels. We find partial widths of these processes using the strong couplings $g_i^{\ast}$ and $G_i^{(\ast)}$ at the $X_{\mathrm{4c}}^{\ast}$($\mathcal{M}$ )-conventional mesons vertices computed by means of the QCD three-point sum rule method. The predictions obtained for the parameters $m=(7235 \pm 75)~ \mathrm{MeV}$, $\Gamma=(144 \pm 18)~\mathrm{MeV}$ and $\widetilde{m}=(7180 \pm 120)~\mathrm{MeV}$, $\widetilde{\Gamma}=(169 \pm 21)~\mathrm{MeV}$ of these structures, are compared with the experimental data of the CMS and ATLAS Collaborations. In accordance to these results, within existing errors of measurements and uncertainties of the theoretical calculations, both the excited tetraquark and hadronic molecule may be considered as candidates to the resonance $X(7300)$. Detailed analysis, however, demonstrates that the preferable model for $X(7300)$ is an admixture of the molecule $\mathcal{M}$ and sizeable part of $X_{\mathrm{4c}}^{\ast}$.

A new anomaly observed in $^4$He supports the existence of the hypothetical X17 particle

Abstract:Energy-sum and angular correlation spectra of $e^+e^-$ pairs produced in the $^{3}$H(p,$\gamma$)$^{4}$He nuclear reaction have been studied at $E_p$=510, 610 and 900 keV proton energies. The main features of the spectra can be understood by taking into account the internal and external pair creations following the direct proton radiative capture by $^{3}$H. However, these processes cannot account for the observed peak around 115$^\circ$ in the angular correlation spectra. This anomalous excess of $e^+e^-$ pairs can be described by the creation and subsequent decay of a light particle during the direct capture process. The derived mass of the particle is $m_\mathrm{X}c^2$=16.94$\pm0.12 (stat) \pm 0.21 (syst)$~MeV. According to the mass and branching ratio ($B_x=5.1(13)\times10^{-6}$), this is likely the same X17 particle, which we recently suggested [Phys. Rev. Lett. 116, 052501 (2016)] for describing the anomaly observed in the decay of $^8$Be.

Canonical interpretation of the newly observed $J^P =1^+$ structure $X(2085)$

Abstract:Inspired by the newly observed $X(2085)$ by the BESIII Collaboration, we study the strong decay behaviors of excited axialvector strange mesons within the quark pair creation model. Our results indicate that the $K_1(1793)/K_1(1861)$ can be regarded as the same $K_1(2P)$ state, and the $K_1(1911)$ is assigned as the $K_1(2P^\prime)$ state. Considering the mass, spin-parity, and decay behaviors, we interpret the newly observed $X(2085)$ as the radially excited $K_1(3P)$ state, which mainly decays into the $\rho(1450) K$, $\omega(1420)K$, $\pi K^*(1410)$, $\rho K_1(1270)$, and $\rho K^*(892)$ final states. Also, the width of $K_1(3P^\prime)$ state is predicted to be about 300 MeV, which can be searched for by future experiments. We expect that present calculations can help us to better understand the nature of the $X(2085)$ structure.

X（1835）: A Possible Baryonium?

Abstract:We point out that the large pp coupling of X(1835) and the suppression of the three-body strange final states strongly indicate that X(1835) may be a p (p) over bar baryonium. We also point out that the branching ratio of X(1835) -> eta pi pi should be bigger than that of X(1835) ->eta'pi pi. We suggest BES search X(1835) in the eta pi pi channel. Finally, X(1835) may be used a tetraquark generator if X(1835) is really established as a baryonium state.
Microscopic Description of Spherical to Gamma-Soft Shape Transitions in Ba and Xe Nuclei

Abstract:The rapid transition between spherical and $\gamma$-soft shapes in Ba and Xe nuclei in the mass region $A \geq 130$ is analyzed using excitation spectra and collective wave functions obtained by diagonalization of a five-dimensional Hamiltonian for quadrupole vibrational and rotational degrees of freedom, with parameters determined by constrained self-consistent relativistic mean-field calculations for triaxial shapes. The results reproduce the characteristic evolution of excitation spectra and E2 transition probabilities and, in general, a good agreement with available data is obtained. The calculated spectra display fingerprints of a second-order shape phase transition that can approximately be described by analytic solutions corresponding to the E(5) dynamical symmetry.

Abstract:In the simple color-magnetic interaction model, we investigate possible ground $cs\bar{c}\bar{s}$ tetraquark states in the diquark-antidiquark basis. We use several methods to estimate the mass spectrum and discuss possible assignment for the $X$ states observed in the $J/\psi\phi$ channel. We find that assigning the Belle $X(4350)$ as a $0^{++}$ tetraquark is consistent with the tetraquark interpretation for the $X(4140)$ and $X(4270)$ while the interpretation of the $X(4500)$ and $X(4700)$ needs orbital or radial excitation. There probably exist several tetraquarks around 4.3 GeV that decay into $J/\psi\phi$ or $\eta_c\phi$.
Theoretical interpretation of the $Ξ(1620)$ and $Ξ(1690)$ resonances seen in $Ξ_c^+ \to Ξ^- π^+ π^+$ decay

Abstract:We study the Belle reaction $\Xi_c^+ \to \Xi^- \pi^+ \pi^+$ looking at the mass distribution of $\pi^+ \Xi$, where clear signals for the $\Xi(1620)$ and $\Xi(1690)$ resonances are seen. These two resonances are generated dynamically from the interaction in coupled channels of $\pi \Xi, \bar K \Lambda, \bar K \Sigma$ and $\eta \Xi$ within the chiral unitary approach. Yet, the weak decay process at the quark level, together with the hadronization to produce pairs of mesons, does not produce the $\pi \pi \Xi$ final state. In order to produce this state one must make transitions from the $\bar K \Lambda, \bar K \Sigma$ and $\eta \Xi$ components to $\pi \Xi$, and this interaction is what produces the resonances. So, the reaction offers a good test for the molecular picture of these resonances. Adding the contribution of the $\Xi^*(1530)$ and some background we are able to get a good reproduction of the mass distribution showing the signatures of the two resonances as found in the experiment.

The electromagnetic decays of $X(3823)$ as the $ψ_2(1^{3}D_{2})$ state and its radial excited states

Abstract:We study the electromagnetic (EM) decays of $X(3823)$ as the $\psi_2(1^{3}D_{2})$ state by using the relativistic Bethe-Salpeter method. Our results are $\Gamma[X(3823)\rightarrow\chi_{_{c0}}\gamma]=1.2$ keV, $\Gamma[X(3823)\rightarrow\chi_{_{c1}}\gamma]=265$ keV, $\Gamma[X(3823)\rightarrow\chi_{_{c2}}\gamma]=57$ keV and $\Gamma[X(3823)\rightarrow\eta_{_c}\gamma]=1.3$ keV. The ratio ${\cal B}[X(3823)\rightarrow\chi_{_{c2}}\gamma]/{\cal B}[X(3823)\rightarrow\chi_{_{c1}}\gamma]=0.22$, agrees with the experimental data. Similarly, the EM decay widths of $\psi_{_2}(n^{3}D_{_2})$, $n=2,3$, are predicted, and we find the dominant decays channels are $\psi_{_2}(n^{3}D_{_2})\rightarrow\chi_{_{c1}}(nP)\gamma$, where $n=1,2,3$. The wave function include different partial waves, which means the relativistic effects are considered. We also study the contributions of different partial waves.
