Abstract:The theory of noise canceling and the method for abstracting the desired signal from strong background noise were described by using adaptive filtering and the LMS algorithms、NLMS algorithms and RLS algorithms were compared.The results of computer simulation show that all of these adaptive algorithms can improve the detection of weak signal in strong background noise.In comparison,the RLS algorithm performance is much better than LMS algorithm and NLMS algorithm.Besides,the convergence speed is much faster and the behavior of the RLS filter coefficients is much more stable,and it has faster beginning convergence rate,lower misadjustment noise,and better robustness against noise and disturbance.

Abstract:In this paper, the theory of Adaptive Filtering Algorithms and the interference cancellation system is introduced, and the comparisons on applications of LMS algorithms, NLMS algorithms and variable step-size LMS algorithms in the interference cancellation system are described. The simulation results show that all of these adaptive algorithms can cancel interference and obtain the desired singnal. The interference cancellation system using the variable step-size LMS algorithms is faster in convergence speed and much better in the performance of fitering.

Abstract:With the continuous development of the social industry,several of noise pollution is getting worse. However,the analog noise cancellation method commonly used now has been unable to meet the requirements of future research,so the future research will move to digital noise cancellation technology which is supported by the digital signal processor and related algorithm. And the design of digital noise cancellation earphone is the main application of it. Digital noise cancellation technology is mainly achieved through the adaptive filter. In this paper,the design and implementation of adaptive filter is achieved in MATLAB using the LMS algorithm. The technology system model of digital noise cancellation earphone is created,and programming in accordance with the model using matlab and C language. The model and process emulational results indicate that the noise cancellation of environmental noise mixing in signal is achieved,and the effect is far higher than the level of analog noise cancellation technology.

Abstract:The article introduces the basic principle of adaptive filter and the least mean squares algorithm(LMS) and recursive least squares(RLS) algorithm were applied to the theoretical analysis and simulation comparison.Both simulation results and speech denoising system indicate that the two kinds of algorithm can effectively filter out noise interference.In contrast,the convergence performance is better and the behavior of the RLS algorithm is much more stable,and it has lower misadjustment noise and better robustness aganist noise and disturbance.

Abstract:An improved adaptive filering algorithm is proposed in this paper.This proposed algorithm acquires balance of the convergence rate and computational cost of adaptive system by choosing the update interval of filter coefficients.As the previous data of adaptive system and block processing technology in frequency domain are applied to this algorithm,it obtain a faster convergence rate than the LMS algorithm and lower computational complexity than the APA and RLS algorithm.Simulation results confirms its effectiveness in adaptive acoustic echo cancellation.

Abstract:For the problem in adaptive noise cancellation,the paper presents a new adaptive noise cancellation method based on wavelet multi-resolution analysis.The method analyzes the signal and noise into different frequency range with wavelet analysis,and the adaptive filter's orders would be shortened.So it improves the speed of convergence and the performance of system.Select some different frequency range signal and combine them to do adaptive line enhancement,so the high frequency information of the signal will be saved.The simulation test proves that the algorithm is right and it has effective result in actual application of noise cancellation.

Abstract:The design and implementation of a feedback adaptive active noise cancellation system for headphone application is presented.The real-time system of noise cancellation headset is implemented using DE2 development board of ALTERA corporation.In order to meet the real-time requirement of audio signal,FIR filter structure,and NLMS algorithm which converges at a high rate and suits hardware are used in this system.Finally,the result indicates that the realization of this system is effective.

Abstract:Currently, adaptive noise cancellation algorithm is the mainstream technology in the field of noise cancellation, many research schemes are put forward on the basis of it. Least mean square (LMS) adaptive algorithm is the first one to be studied, there are many modified algorithm based on LMS, such as Normalized Least Mean Square (NLMS), Proportionate NLMS (PNLMS), etc. All kinds of adaptive algorithms have their own advantages and disadvantages, and their corresponding improvement schemes are different. With increasing requirement from adaptive noise cancellation in practical applications, these algorithms are constantly growing and improving. By studying the principles of adaptive noise cancellation (ANC), this article uses the regularization NLMS algorithm to improve its application in noise cancellation system and compares the simulation results of some performance with traditional NLMS algorithm. In speech signal processing, both methods can suppress interference signals to extract useful signals from the high background noise. However, the regularization NLMS algorithm can exhibit a faster convergence, a greater stability and a better ability to suppress interference.

Abstract:For the subband adaptive filtering has the better performance in convergence and computing efficiency, it has been widely used in many signal processing fields, but the aliasing in-band from decimated in subband impair the system performance greatly. In the paper, based on the theory of signal orthogonal decomposition, used self-contained sinusoid basis, a novel subband signal adaptive noise cancellation method DFTSD-LMS is presented, where the analysis filters implemented by DFT have discrete ideal performance. Because there has no aliasing in-band after decimation, so the performance of cancellation is increased. The simulation results indicated that the system had higher convergence speed and SNR gain comparing with full band adaptive noise cancellation system, especially when the reference signal is colored noise.

In this thesis, the designation of Modified Adaptive Noise Cancellation is demonstrated in detail, the model is simulated. We have compared the performance of the new model and the old model. In the course of simulation, different signal sources and different noise sources are adopted. The result of the experiments shows that this designation improves the noise cancellation's performance greatly.

Abstract:In the reality world,lots of stable noises can not be processed.using the tradition adaptive algorithm A modified NLMP(MNLMP) algorithm for adaptive noise cancellation in stable noise environments is proposed.In the algorithm,the-norm of the output error is calculated to adjust the step size.During convergence,a decrease in the-norm of the output error results in a step size decrease.Computer simulations are presented to compare the relative performance of LMP,NLMP and MNLMP algorithms.Results show that MNLMP algorithm has a higher output SNR than that of LMP and NLMP algorithms under different input SNRs.

Abstract:Adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) is used widely to reduce noise from a noisy speech sound. However the least-mean-square (LMS) algorithm and its variants, such as the normalized (N) LMS, the modified (M)-LMS and the constrained stability (CS)-LMS algorithms do not perform well in ANC since the desired speech signal has a bad effect on the convergence rate and steady state misadjustment of these algorithms. Thus, we propose a new adaptive algorithm that further relaxes the constraint in the CS-LMS algorithm. The new algorithm attempts to minimize the estimation error of the a posteriori error and the estimation is obtained using the concept of Taylor's expansion. The analysis and simulation results show that the proposed new algorithm outperforms the NLMS and CS-LMS algorithms.

Abstract:With few prior probability,the effect of conventional adaptive filter noise cancellation is poor,which hinders the adaptive noise cancellation for actual application.The model predictive control structure was introduced to adaptive noise cancellation.Adaptive noise canceller based on model predictive control used existing error control and predicting error control to optimize the weights of the adaptive filter,which could overcome the system nonlinear disturbance effectively.Theoretical analysis and simulation results showed that the method was of little dependence on the prior probability and of high robust,which could fulfill a real-time noise cancellation.The method was characterized by the use of existing error control and prediction error control to optimize the weights of the adaptive filter and overcome the nonlinear disturbance.

Abstract:Adaptive filtering has plenty of potential applications in many areas (echo cancellation, blind source separation, blind channel identification/equalization, source localization, etc). This chapter focuses on (adaptive and non-adaptive) filtering techniques to mitigate noise effects in speech communications. Three approaches are studied: beamforming using multiple microphone sensors; adaptive noise cancellation (ANC) utilizing a primary sensor to pick up the noisy speech signal and an auxiliary or reference sensor to measure the noise field; and, spectral modification using only a single sensor. The strengths and weaknesses of these approaches are elaborated and their performance (with respect to noise reduction) are studied and compared.

Abstract:Several adaptive echo cancellation algorithms including NLMS,PNLMS,PNLMSAU,PNLMSDU,IPNLMS and MPNLMS are introduced.Some simulations are done under Matlab to compare the performance of these algorithms.White Gaussian noise with zero mean and unit variance are used as the input and simulations are finished under the condition of sparse impulse responses quasi sparse impulse response and dispersive impulse response.According to the result of simulations,PNLMS is the effective and fast algorithm which is applied for the sparse echo path and MPNLMS do further optimization in the basis of PNLMS.IPNLMS and PNLMSDU which contains respective advantages of NLMS and PNLMS,ensure the fast initial convergence speed and simultaneously make it not slow down dramatically after the initial period.
