Abstract:Objective To explore the EEG features of normal active sleep in late premature infants. Methods The electroencephalograms at active sleep of 75 neurologically normal premature infants recorded at a conceptional age(CA) of 34~36 weeks have been analyzed retrospectively. Results The results showed that the background activities were mixed frequency tracings. On the other hand,EEG features: ①Telte brushs occurred in the temporal and occipital areas as of 34 weeks with occipital areas only in 35 weeks.②Sharp transient patterns(mainly 4 ~8Hz) were largely seen in the frontal or central lacations with occasional appearenced in occipital or temporal regions, with the amplitude decreased as the aconceptional age increased. Conclusion It clarified the active sleep EEG criterias in normal late preterm infants, providing a basis for the development of brain function diagnosis.
