Soils
Abstract:The greenhouse soil is different from uncovered soils.Because of its inner high temperature, little exposure to rainwater leaching, intensive evaporation, and fertilization, salts, dominantly nutrient salts, accumulate steadily in the top soil, thus leading to secondary salinization, compactness, acidification, and some other ecological problems in the soil, which in turn trigger a variety of physiological barriers in the plant. Moisture content, however,is one of the factors stimulating the above change most, especially in greenhouse soil.As a carrier for other solutes, moisture not only affects the process of water balancing and salinity accumulating but also determines the course of soil degradation and agriculture non-point pollution. So,based on the analysis of studies at home and abroad, the status of the research in this field was evaluated objectively, starting from the researches on theory of soil water-salt movement in open fields and in greenhouses, and problems and outlook of the study was discussed.
