Frederic Jameson's "Marxism Literary Critic"

Abstract:In the academic circle in China,the name of Frederic Jameson is always related to "Marxism critic","cultural critic",and "post-modernism theorist".The author of this article,on the other hand,through scrutinizing Jameson's works,takes Jameson as a literary critic.This article suggests that literary criticism has always been an indispensable part in Jameson's critic theory and practice,although Jameson's research covers many fields such as literary criticism,cultural study,post-modernism and so on.This article explains the status and role of literary criticism in Jameson's critic theory and practice,and points out that Jameson's literary criticism theory and practice may shed some new light on the current study of Chinese culture.
