On Technocracy in Scientific Management

Abstract:In Daniel Bell's mind,Taylor is perhaps the most important person applying the theory of technocracy to the actual industrial practice.This has been confirmed in scientific management.Advocating the engineer as the subject of the scientific management,emphasizing science playing a leading role in the management,realizing administration and supervision authorities control of production process through separating planning and executive functions,and identifying that scientific management essential is a psychological revolution of both managers and workers in order to realize the cooperation between the employers and employees and to achieve the purpose of eliminating labor conflicts,all of these ideas are analogous with the theory of technocracy.
