Abstract:Regional environmental risk zoning is an important measure of environmental risk management but a complex project. It will become easier and more convenient to make environmental risk zoning with the help of the decision support system (DSS). In this work, the Unified Modeling Language (UML) is used to analyze and design the DSS of environmental risk zoning, using use case diagrams to analyze the system requirements, package diagrams to design the framework of the system and activity diagrams to analyze the sub-systems. Finally, the DSS was built. The processes of the analysis and design of the DSS show that the UML is a convenient implement to analyze and design the DSS. © 2012 Springer-Verlag GmbH.

Abstract:The unified modeling language (UML) is an object-oriented and strictly defined visualizing data modeling language. It has been gradually adopted in analysis and design of GIS application engineering. The system construction background and main functional requirements are briefly introduced associated with coastal environment regulation spatial decision-making support system, and then a study on analysis and design of spatial is performed decision support system based on UML, taking the coastal environmental regulation spatial decision support system in Fujian Province as a case. The essential principle and methodology of spatial data modeling using use-case diagram, class diagram, activity diagram and sequence diagram are proposed, which are UML core components. And the related basal manipulation flows and software documents are presented associated with the prototype system. Finally, the typical user interfaces of the system realized application are illustrated.

Abstract:On the basis of the demand analysis of high-speed railway transport capacity management decision support system, we build static structure view, dynamic behavior view and model management view basing on the Modeling Language of UML and described the essential factor, events and activities of this system in time and space separately. On the basis of the above, we develop the management decision support system of high-speed railway transport capacity, which provide fundamental basis for the optimal configuration of transportation capacity resource, and then form the high-speed railway calculation evaluation and management system. In the end, we apply the system to the calculation examples of Beijing-Shanghai high speed railway.

Abstract:In order to develop a digital drawing management information system,unified modeling language(UML) technology is applied to the analysis and design of the system.A UML system analysis and design method based on Concurrent Engineering(CE) is proposed at first,then the application of UML to system analysis is shown in UML use case diagram,class diagram,collaboration diagram and state diagram,and the application of UML to system development is shown in code creation and database creation.The successful implementation of the system demonstrates that the proposed method can analyze and design the system in a satisfactory way.

Abstract:The fast development of domestic auto part trade has put some new requirements on the sales and marketing management. Manyearly-developed management systems basedon the traditional technology are not sufficientto satisfy these new requirements. UML, as an expressive and powerful standard object-oriented modeling language, has been widely used in management information system. After analyzing the modeling functionalities of UML, an auto-parts-trade sales management system is proposed and implemented using UML as the modeling tool. This system has been deployed in some auto-part sales enterprises. The practice shows that it has greatly im- proved the sales management quality of the users.

Abstract:Auxiliary decision-making software for railway transportation is the important constituent part of C4 ISR. Its function and quality directly affect the performance of the entire C4ISR system. As a well-defined unified modeling language, UML is applicable to all stages of the software development process. It can describe the complicated software system with simple and clear visuable graphs from different angles, and provide flexible, consistent and readable mode of expression for the whole process of software development. This helps to enhance exchanges among software designers, improve the reusable and maintainable features of the software and reduce risks. In this paper, the UML modeling technology is briefly introduced; problem-oriented analysis is made on the basis of the UML-based description of required functions of the auxiliary decision-making software for railway transportation; the static and dynamic models of the software system are established; the factors, events and actions of the software system are described in respect of time and space. This paper gives support for analysis, design, maintenance and expansion of the auxiliary decision-making software system.

Abstract:A decision support system (DSS) has been developed for urban transit planning, which provides the following functions: data storage, data analysis and decision-making support. The DSS consists of a database management system, a model base management system, and a dialog generation and management system. The relational model is selected in the design of the database management system. The decision-making models in the DSS include trip planning model for passengers and trip prediction model for transit planners, etc. The Mass Transit Railway (MTR) and Kowloon Canton Railway (KCR) networks in Hong Kong are used as a case study.

Abstract:UML (Unified Modeling Language) is an important application of object-oriented technology and a useful tool of analysis and design in software engineering. The modeling of a SIS (Supervisory Information System) for a power plant is designed by using UML based on RUP( Rational Unified Process) , and its use case diagram, sequence diagram and class diagram are plotted respectively.
