Abstract:Through gas to liquid(GTL) technology,natural gas(NG) can be converted into GTL diesel fuel with high cetane number and very low sulfur and aromatic contents.The properties of GTL diesel fuel and its effect on emission are reviewed,and the GTL and ordinary diesel fuels are compared in terms of their combustion and emission characteristics.The remained problems such as lubricity,flow properties at low temperature and rubber compatibility, are also pointed out with countermeasures discussed.
