Suppression of Radar Clutter Based on HHT

Abstract:Traditional methods of signal analysis and processing are not suitable for analyzing nonstationary signals.Hilbert-Huang transform(HHT) rising in recent years is an adaptive and efficient means for non-linear and non-stationary signal processing.It is used for the suppression of radar clutter over the limitation of the traditional time-frequency analysis.HHT is able to resolve time-frequency characteristics of signals and highlight the flexible components of targets.Simulation results show that EMD combined with threshold denoising and scale filtering methods here is effective to remove clutters from the radar echo.
