Technological characteristic of arc-heated wire TIG welding

Abstract:An arc-heated welding wire TIG(tungsten inert-gas) welding method is introduced. The relationship between the temperature increment of the wire and the heating current,and the relationship between the temperature increment of the wire and the wire feed rate are studied while keeping the welding input energy constant. The result shows that the temperature of the wire elevates when heating current increases,and it falls when the wire feed rate increases. The result proves that arc-heated welding wire TIG method can increase the efficiency of TIG surfacing,and it is a high-efficiency surfacing method.
