Reason analyses on rejection during the final decision meetings held for endocrine manuscripts of Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine

Abstract:From 2006 to 2009 there were 72 endocrine manuscripts that had passed the double peer reviews but had been rejected after the final decision making by Chinese Journal of Practical Internal Medicine.The main causes of rejection for these manuscripts include that quite a few parts of manuscript had not yet reached the publishing standard,the authors were unable to revise,the editors' requirements had not been satisfied even after revision(s),the authors held on their own views,or the revisions had not been received in due time.This paper suggests that the editors should take relevant countermeasures to lessen the negative effect of rejection after final decision on authors' psychology.
