The Reproductive Performance Analysis of Different Ages of Qinghai Fine-wool Sheep in Alpine Pastoral Area

Abstract:In order to verify Qinghai fine-wool sheep’s reproductive capacity in alpine pastoral area,the pregnancy rate,the litter size,the survival rate of lambs and the lamb birth weight of different groups of Qinghai fine-wool sheep between 2.5-7.5 years old were measured.The result shows that in alpine pastoral area,the 4.5 years old group presents the best reproductive performance indicators and the groups of 2.5,6.5,7.5 years old are lower than the groups of 3.5,4.5,5.5 years old in reproductive performance indicators.All the groups show that Qinghai fine-wool sheep have excellent reproductive performance in alpine pastoral area.
