Study on Lyme Disease Prevention in Heilongjiang Province

Abstract:Lyme disease(LD) propagated by ticks is an amphixenosis,which brings serious threat to human health and development of animal husbandry.Lyme disease has been regarded as one of the most important prevention and cure infection diseases by World Health Organization.LD was first discovered in Heilongjiang Province in China.Experiments of local prevention from ticks,experiments of prevention animal and shed from tick,and experiments of driving out ticks were taken.Result shows that the ticks can be killed in the way of nebulizing with 0.5% durshan and/or 0.045% high performance Cypermethrin in the forest region,and the effect presents more than 30 days.The same drugs are used to animal and shed,and 24 hours later all ticks can be killed.As a private protection drug diethyltoluamide used by forest farm workers or travelers has good effect.
