Investigation and analysis of perceived occupational risks among community nurses in Beijing

Abstract:Objective To investigate the status of perceived occupational risks among community nurses in Beijing and to provide a scientific basis for the formulation of prevention strategies.Methods A total of 99 community nurses in Beijing were conveniently sampled and investigated with a self-designed questionnaire.Results The score of risk index was(6.40±3.04).Of 46 items,2 items belonged to the third level,which both were psychosocial,and the rest belonged to the forth level.The total score of risk index had significantly positive correlation with community nurses' age and years of working experience(P0.05).The nurses with different professional titles had different scores of occupational risk index(P0.01).Conclusion The community nurses' perceived occupational risk was acceptable in Beijing.The unpermitted occupational risk belonged to the psychosocial category.The nurses' perceived occupational risk was related to their age,years of working experience and professional titles.
