Abstract:As the development of a family of preinvex functions, we define the w -invex set and a class of real functions. These are functions with the names w -preinvex, w -strictly preinvex, w -prequasi-invex, w -strictly prequasi-invex, w -semi-strictly prequasi-invex, and w -pre-pseudo-invex. The fundamental characteristics of these functions are thoroughly examined. Several examples are provided here that serve to clarify the concept in this context. Several of these preinvex functions are addressed to investigate the optimization problems further.

Abstract:In this paper, we consider a class of functionals subject to a duality restriction. The functional is of the form J(Ω,Ω*)=∫Ωf+∫Ω*g $\mathcal{J}\left({\Omega},{{\Omega}}^{{\ast}}\right)={\int }_{{\Omega}}f+{\int }_{{{\Omega}}^{{\ast}}}g$ , where f, g are given nonnegative functions in a manifold. The duality is a relation α(x, y) ≤ 0 ∀ x ∈ Ω, y ∈ Ω*, for a suitable function α. This model covers several geometric and physical applications. In this paper we review two topological methods introduced in the study of the functional, and discuss possible extensions of the methods to related problems.

Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a new concept of generalized convexity for E-differentiable vector optimization problems. Namely, the notion of exponentially E-invexity is defined. Further, some properties and results of exponentially E-invex functions are studied. The sufficient optimality conditions are derived under appropriate (generalized) exponentially E-invexity hypotheses. To exemplify the application of our proposed concept, we have included an appropriate example.

Abstract:The present paper deals with the perturbation analysis of set-valued inclusion problems, a problem format whose relevance has recently emerged in such contexts as robust and vector optimization as well as in vector equilibrium theory. The set-valued inclusions here considered are parameterized by variables belonging to a topological space, with and without constraints. By proper techniques of variational analysis, some qualitative global implicit function theorems are established, which ensure global solvability of these problems and continuous dependence on the parameter of the related solutions. Applications to parametric vector optimization are discussed, aimed at deriving sufficient conditions for the existence of ideal efficient solutions that depend continuously on the parameter perturbations.

Abstract:Based on the oriented distance function, a linear weak separation function and three nonlinear regular weak separation functions are introduced in reflexive Banach spaces. Particularly, a nonlinear regular weak separation function does not involve any parameters. Moreover, theorems of the weak alternative for vector variational-like inequalities with constraints are derived by the separation functions without any convexity. Saddle-point conditions, which show the equivalence between the existence of a saddle point and a (linear) nonlinear separation of two suitable subsets of the image space, are established for the linear and nonlinear regular weak separation functions, respectively. Necessary and sufficient optimality conditions for vector variational-like inequalities with constraints are also obtained via the saddle-point conditions. Finally, two gap functions for vector variational-like inequalities with constraints and their continuity are derived by using the image space analysis.

Abstract:In this paper, the gap function for a new class of generalized vector variational inequal- ities with point-to-set mappings (for short, GVVI) is introduced and the necessary and sufficient conditions for the GVVI are established. Furthermore, under certain pseudomonotonicity condi- tion and hemicontinuity condition, we obtain the existence theorems for the GVVI. The results presented in this paper are new and extend corresponding results in this field.

Abstract:In this manuscript, we define (E, F)-invex set, (E, F)-invex functions, and (E, F)-preinvex functions on Euclidean space. We explore the concepts on the Riemannian manifold. We also detail the fundamental properties of (E, F)-preinvex functions and some examples that illustrate the concepts well. We have established a relation between (E, F)-invex and (E, F)-preinvex functions on the Riemannian manifolds. We introduce the conditions A and define (E, F)-proximal sub-gradient. To explore and demonstrate its applicability to optimization problems, (E, F)-preinvex is utilized. In the last, we establish the points of extrema of a non-smooth (E, F)-preinvex functions on (E, F)-invex subset of the Riemannian manifolds by using (E, F)-proximal sub-gradient.

Abstract:Let X be a Banach space and Z a nonempty closed subset of X. Let J:Z→R be a lower semicontinuous function bounded from below. This paper is concerned with the perturbed optimization problem infz∈Z{J(z)+‖x−z‖}, denoted by (x,J)-inf for x∈X. In the case when X is compactly fully 2-convex, it is proved in the present paper that the set of all points x in X for which there does not exist z0∈Z such that J(z0)+‖x−z0‖=infz∈Z{J(z)+‖x−z‖} is a σ-porous set in X. Furthermore, if X is assumed additionally to be compactly locally uniformly convex, we verify that the set of all points x∈X∖Z0 such that the problem (x,J)-inf fails to be approximately compact, is a σ-porous set in X∖Z0, where Z0 denotes the set of all z∈Z such that z∈PZ(z). Moreover, a counterexample to which some results of Ni [R.X. Ni, Generic solutions for some perturbed optimization problem in nonreflexive Banach space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 302 (2005) 417–424] fail is provided.

Abstract:In this work, we obtain some new integral inequalities of the Hermite–Hadamard–Fejér type for operator ω1,ω2-preinvex functions. The bounds for both left-hand and right-hand sides of the integral inequality are established for operator ω1,ω2-preinvex functions of the positive self-adjoint operator in the complex Hilbert spaces. We give the special cases to our results; thus, the established results are generalizations of earlier work. In the last section, we give applications for synchronous (asynchronous) functions.

Abstract:In this paper, firstly we define the concept of h-preinvex fuzzy-interval-valued functions (h-preinvex FIVF). Secondly, some new Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities (H-H type inequalities) for h-preinvex FIVFs via fuzzy integrals are established by means of fuzzy order relation. Finally, we obtain Hermite-Hadamard Fejer type inequalities (H-H Fejer type inequalities) for h-preinvex FIVFs by using above relationship. To strengthen our result, we provide some examples to illustrate the validation of our results, and several new and previously known results are obtained.

Abstract:This note introduces a new class of preinvexity called (h1,h2)-Godunova-Levin preinvex functions that generalize earlier findings. Based on these notions, we developed Hermite-Hadamard, weighted Fejér, and trapezium type inequalities. Furthermore, we constructed some non-trivial examples in order to verify all the developed results. In addition, we discussed some applications related to the trapezoidal formula, probability density functions, special functions and special means. Lastly, we discussed the importance of order relations and left two open problems for future research. As an additional benefit, we believe that the present work can provide a strong catalyst for enhancing similar existing literature.

Abstract:It is a familiar fact that convex and non-convex fuzzy mappings play a critical role in the study of fuzzy optimization. Due to the behavior of its definition, the idea of convexity plays a significant role in the subject of inequalities. The concepts of convexity and symmetry have a tight connection. We may use whatever we learn from one to the other, thanks to the significant correlation that has developed between both in recent years. Our aim is to consider a new class of fuzzy mappings (FMs) known as strongly preinvex fuzzy mappings (strongly preinvex-FMs) on the invex set. These FMs are more general than convex fuzzy mappings (convex-FMs) and preinvex fuzzy mappings (preinvex-FMs), and when generalized differentiable (briefly, G-differentiable), strongly preinvex-FMs are strongly invex fuzzy mappings (strongly invex-FMs). Some new relationships among various concepts of strongly preinvex-FMs are established and verified with the support of some useful examples. We have also shown that optimality conditions of G-differentiable strongly preinvex-FMs and the fuzzy functional, which is the sum of G-differentiable preinvex-FMs and non G-differentiable strongly preinvex-FMs, can be distinguished by strongly fuzzy variational-like inequalities and strongly fuzzy mixed variational-like inequalities, respectively. In the end, we have established and verified a strong relationship between the Hermite–Hadamard inequality and strongly preinvex-FM. Several exceptional cases are also discussed. These inequalities are a very interesting outcome of our main results and appear to be new ones. The results in this research can be seen as refinements and improvements to previously published findings.

Abstract:Convex and preinvex functions are two different concepts. Specifically, preinvex functions are generalizations of convex functions. We created some intriguing examples to demonstrate how these classes differ from one another. We showed that Godunova-Levin invex sets are always convex but the converse is not always true. In this note, we present a new class of preinvex functions called $ (\mathtt{h_1}, \mathtt{h_2}) $-Godunova-Levin preinvex functions, which is extensions of $ \mathtt{h} $-Godunova-Levin preinvex functions defined by Adem Kilicman. By using these notions, we initially developed Hermite-Hadamard and Fejér type results. Next, we used trapezoid type results to connect our inequality to the well-known numerical quadrature trapezoidal type formula for finding error bounds by limiting to standard order relations. Additionally, we use the probability density function to relate trapezoid type results for random variable error bounds. In addition to these developed results, several non-trivial examples have been provided as proofs.

Abstract:In this article, we define a new preinvex mapping known as the exponentially ( h , m ) -preinvex. We explore the properties of this mapping, and derive several Φ k -Riemann–Liouville fractional integrals inequalities through exponentially ( h , m ) -preinvexity. Using these results, we present certain estimates for Hermite–Hadamard-type inequalities, and also deduce several inequalities for the fractional integrals of k-Riemann–Liouville, which are special cases of the main results. During this period, we give several numerical examples to further demonstrate the correctness of our main results. As applications, we propose a few inequalities according to special means.

Abstract:Multiobjective programming refers to a mathematical problem that requires the simultaneous optimization of multiple independent yet interrelated objective functions when solving a problem. It is widely used in various fields, such as engineering design, financial investment, environmental planning, and transportation planning. Research on the theory and application of convex functions and their generalized convexity in multiobjective programming helps us understand the essence of optimization problems, and promotes the development of optimization algorithms and theories. In this paper, we firstly introduces new classes of generalized (F,α,ρ,d)−I functions for semi-preinvariant convex multiobjective programming. Secondly, based on these generalized functions, we derive several sufficient optimality conditions for a feasible solution to be an efficient or weakly efficient solution. Finally, we prove weak duality theorems for mixed-type duality.

On Positive Vectors in Indefinite Inner Product Spaces

Abstract:Let $\mathcal{H}$ be a linear space equipped with an indefinite inner product $[\cdot, \cdot]$. Denote by $\mathcal{F}_{++}=\{f\in\mathcal{H} \ : \ [f,f]>0\}$ the nonlinear set of positive vectors in $\mathcal{H}$. We demonstrate that the properties of a linear operator $W$ in $\mathcal{H}$ can be uniquely determined by its restriction to $\mathcal{F}_{++}$. In particular, we prove that the bijectivity of $W$ on $\mathcal{F}_{++}$ is equivalent to $W$ being {\em close} to a unitary operator with respect to $[\cdot, \cdot]$. Furthermore, we consider a one-parameter semi-group of operators $W_+ = \{W(t) : t \geq 0\}$, where each $W(t)$ maps $\mathcal{F}_{++}$ onto itself in a one-to-one manner. We show that, under this natural restriction, the semi-group $W_+$ can be transformed into a one-parameter group $U = \{U(t) : t\in\mathbb{R}\}$ of operators that are unitary with respect to $[\cdot, \cdot]$. By imposing additional conditions, we show how to construct a suitable definite inner product $\langle\cdot, \cdot\rangle$, based on $[\cdot, \cdot]$, which guarantees the unitarity of the operators $U(t)$ in the Hilbert space obtained by completing $\mathcal{H}$ with respect to $\langle\cdot, \cdot\rangle$.

Abstract:In this paper we introduce and study a new class of analytic and p-valent functions involving higher-order derivatives. For this p-valent function class, we derive several interesting properties including (for example) coefficient inequalities, distortion theorems, extreme points, and the radii of close-to-convexity, starlikeness and convexity. Several applications involving an integral operator are also considered. Finally, we obtain some results for the modified Hadamard product of the functions belonging to the p-valent function class which is introduced here.

Abstract:The isospin dependence of the nucleon effective mass is investigated in the framework of the Dirac Brueckner-Hartree-Fock (DBHF) approach. The definition of nucleon scalar and vector effective masses in the relativistic approach is clarified. Only the vector effective mass is the quantity related to the empirical value extracted from the analysis in the nonrelatiistic shell and optical potentials. In the relativistic mean field theory, where the nucleon scalar and vector potentials are both energy independent, the neutron vector potential is stronger than that of proton in the neutron rich nuclear matter, which produces a smaller neutron vector effective mass than that of proton. It is pointed out that the energy dependence of nucleon potentials has to be considered in the analysis of the isospin dependence of the nucleon effective mass. In the DBHF the neutron vector effective mass is larger than that of proton once the energy dependence of nucleon potentials is considered. The results are consistent with the analysis of phenomenological isospin dependent optical potentials.
