Abstract:This paper, by consulting the literature, making the survey face to face and through the questionnaire, applying the mathematical statistics and the logical analytic method, conducts a study the group characteristics, value orientation and desire for demand of the traditional sports items participated in by the mass in Anhui Province. The findings show that: Like in the other provinces, traditional sports items in Anhui Province are also not in an optimistic situation, hence the traditional culture's education, the education for the youth in particular, should be strengthened, and then the traditional sports items' strengths in value and function should also be publicized, promoted and instructed through omni directions and multiple channels, which will be advantageous for the traditional sports items' return to the body-building activity participated in by all the people ; the government and the society should do more in inheriting and protecting traditional sports, especially some non-material cultural items, in order to avoid their lost or dying out Therefore, a renewed idea should be formed to create through multi-channel investments from the government and beyond a good environment in personnel, technology, facilities, policy, etc ; opening up a path to modernization for traditional sports items through the study is a better way of recommending and safeguarding national sports.
