Drug delivery systems for glioma specific targeting

Abstract:The blood-brain barrier and blood-brain tumor barrier at the glioma region prevent the penetration of chemotherapeutics. Recently,with the in-depth knowledge of the tumor as well as the development of experimental methods,more and more glioma targeting drug delivery systems have been established. This review focuses on the glioma targeting strategies based on its unique pathological features including one-order targeting,two-order targeting,dual targeting and microenvironment-responsive targeting.
