Establishing a New System of Geological Work to Fit in with the Needs of Market Economy

Abstract:The paper argues that "Decision of the State Council on Strengthening Geological Work" has fully given expression to the development trend of the current geological work,worked in concert with general requirement of Eleventh Five-year plan,embodied the demand of the times concerning the implementation of scientific outlook on development and the urgent demand for the reform and development of geological work.It also illustrates the hot and difficult spots of China's reform and development of geological work,these include: further well defining the relations between enterprise and public institution involving in geological work;establishing a new geological work system in which the central and local authorities can share out the work and coordinate with each other;straightening out the relations between up-stream and downstream industry;establishing a geological work system by integrating national macro control with the distribution of market and single mineral exploration market.
