Abstract:This paper analyses the variety and amount of sensors that will be needed by the Chinese market in the coming years. The state of sensing technology development in China is briefly described as well. Main attention is paid to analysing improvements in some important fields, such as microelectromechanical systems (MEMS), biosensors, etc. Referring to the growth of the Chinese economy, the prospects for sensing technology progress in China are presented.
