Abstract:The genus Tylotrypes Bezzi is newly recorded from China with one new species,Tylotrypes longipilosa sp.nov..It can be recognized by the following characters:body brown,head without any pattern;thorax setulose with 3 obvious pale gray lines,wing with irregular grayish shadow,epandrium broad and ceci rounded.

Abstract:One new species, Dolichocoxys wangi Zhang et Liu, sp. nov. of the tribe Blondeliini (Diptera, Tachinidae) from Tibet and Yunnan, China is described and illustrated. Admontia podomyia Brauer et Bergenstamm from Sichuan and Qinghai, and Oswaldia gilva Shima from Liaoning are newly recorded from China. The type specimens of the new species are separately preserved in Shenyang Normal University and Shanghai Entomological Museum.

Abstract:Tachinid specimens (Diptera:Tachinidae) from Mt.Huangyi of Kuandian,Eastem Liaoning,China were examined.One species is described as new to science,Linnaemya (s.str.)flavifemur Zhang sp.nov.,with photos of adults and male terminalia.Two genera and four species are newly recorded from China:Microsoma Macquart,1855,Rhacodinella Mesnil,1968;Melastrongygaster atrata Shima,2015,Microsoma exigua (Meigen,1824),Rhacodinella aurata Mesnil,1970 and Smidtiafukushii Shima,1996;and their diagnosis and photos are provided.

Abstract:Microtendipes globosus sp. nov. (Diptera: Chironomidae) from Xishan Island, China is described and illustrated from a male imago. The new species is characterized by a spherical median volsella with 9-10 long setae, the basal lobe of the superior volsella with 10-12 setae, tergite IX without median seta, and the absence of pigment marks on the wings. An identification key to the males belonging to the genus Microtendipes in China is provided.

Abstract:The following species of the subgenus Formotipula Matsumura from China are described:Tipula(Formotipula) maolana sp.nov.,T.(F.) ludingana sp.nov.,T.(F.) decurvans Alexander,T.(F.) dikchuensis Edwards,T.(F.) melanopyga Edwards and T.(F.) melanomera gracilispina Savchenko.The former two species are new species,the latter three species are first recorded in China,and the last species T.(F.) melanomera gracilispina Savchenko is redescribed.A key to the world species of the subgenus Formotipula is presented.

Abstract:In the paper,a new species and two new record species of the genus Psilopa Fallén(Diptera,Ephydridae) are described:P.wangi sp.nov.,P.marginella(Fallén,1823) and P.leucostoma(M eigen,1830).P.marginella and P.leucostoma distribute in Helan M ountain of Inner M ongolia in China.T he types are deposited in the Entomological M useum of China Agricultural University,Beijing.Psilopa wangi sp.nov.(Figs 1-5) T his new species is allied to P.marginella(Fallén,1823),but differs from the latter in the following points:1) face bare without microtomentum;2)antennae orange,but first lagellomere brownish black dorsally;3) wing hyaline except middle and basal portions of cell R2 +3,cell R4 +5 and cell Cu brownish yellow;4) foreleg black;mid and hind coxae,trochanter and femora black,tibiae and tarsomeres 1 4 yellow,tarsomere 5 dark brown.♂.Body length2.04mm,wing length2.25mm.Holotype ♂,Liaoning,Huanren,Laotu Dingzi Nature Reserve(41.32°N,124.87°E;alt.1058 m),24 July 2009,collected by W ANG Jun-Chao(CAU).Etymology.T he specific name is derived from the collector's last name"W ang".

Abstract:Fourteen species/subspecies of the subgenus Tipula (Vestiplex) Bezzi (1924) were previously known to occur in the Northwest China Here, four species are added to the fauna of this region. Among them T. (V.) quadricorna sp. nov. and T. (V.) shaanxiana sp. nov. are described and illustrated as new; T. (V.) coquillettiana Alexander, 1924 and T. (V.) scripta Meigen, 1830 are reported from China for the first time. Furthermore, we re-described and illustrated the T. (V.) kuwayamai Alexander, 1921 based on additional morphological characters. A key to the species of Tipula (Vestiplex) from Northwest China is presented.

Abstract:The genus Campyhxheta Rondani (Diptera, Tachinidae) of China was studied. Two new species, C. macubsa sp. nov. from Liaoning and C. latifrons sp. nov. from Ningxia, China are described, and C. abdominalis Shima, C. bisetosa Shima and C. hirticeps Shima are recognized as new records in China. A key to 8 Chinese species of Campylocheta is provided. The type specimens and other examined specimens are deposited in the Insect Collection, Shenyang Normal University (SNU).

Abstract:In the course of studying tachinid flies (Diptera,Tachinidae) from Liaoning Laotudingzi National Nature Reserve of China,over 1 500 specimens were examined,of which 3 species are described as new to science:Mycteromyiella zhui sp.nov.,Nemoraea angustifrons sp.nov.,Phasia huanrenensis sp.nov.; 8 species are recognized as new records in China,viz.(Ophina) takanoi Mesnil,Panzeria laevigata (Meigen) and Dicarca fluviatilis Richter.

Abstract:The genus Psilota Meigen, 1822 is recorded for the first time from China, and the species Psilota bashanensis Huo and Zhao sp. nov. is described and illustrated based on the adult male. The complete cytochrome c oxidase subunit I (COI) gene of this new species has been successfully obtained and compared to that of other congeneric species. An updated key to adult males of the genus Psilota from the Palaearctic Region is also provided.
