Abstract: Let $\md^b(A)$ be the derived category of a finite dimensional basic algebra $A$ with finite global dimension. We construct the Lie algebra arising from the 2-periodic version $\mk_2(\mp(A))$ of $\mk^b(\mp(A))$ in term of constructible functions on varieties attached to $\mk_2(\mp(A))$.

Abstract:Let $A$ be a finite-dimensional $\mathbb{C}$-algebra of finite global dimension and $\mathcal{A}$ be the category of finitely generated right $A$-modules. By using of the category of two-periodic projective complexes $\mathcal{C}_2(\mathcal{P})$, we construct the motivic Bridgeland's Hall algebra for $\mathcal{A}$, where structure constants are given by Poincaré polynomials in $t$, then construct a $\mathbb{C}$-Lie subalgebra $\mathfrak{g}=\mathfrak{n}\oplus \mathfrak{h}$ at $t=-1$, where $\mathfrak{n}$ is constructed by stack functions about indecomposable radical complexes, and $\mathfrak{h}$ is by contractible complexes. For the stable category $\mathcal{K}_2(\mathcal{P})$ of $\mathcal{C}_2(\mathcal{P})$, we construct its moduli spaces and a $\mathbb{C}$-Lie algebra $\tilde{\mathfrak{g}}=\tilde{\mathfrak{n}}\oplus \tilde{\mathfrak{h}}$, where $\tilde{\mathfrak{n}}$ is constructed by support-indecomposable constructible functions, and $\tilde{\mathfrak{h}}$ is by the Grothendieck group of $\mathcal{K}_2(\mathcal{P})$. We prove that the natural functor $\mathcal{C}_2(\mathcal{P})\rightarrow \mathcal{K}_2(\mathcal{P})$ together with the natural isomorphism between Grothendieck groups of $\mathcal{A}$ and $\mathcal{K}_2(\mathcal{P})$ induces a Lie algebra isomorphism $\mathfrak{g}\cong\tilde{\mathfrak{g}}$. This makes clear that the structure constants at $t=-1$ provided by Bridgeland in [5] in terms of exact structure of $\mathcal{C}_2(\mathcal{P})$ precisely equal to that given in [30] in terms of triangulated category structure of $\mathcal{K}_2(\mathcal{P})$.

A generalization on derivations of Lie algebras

Abstract:We initiate a study on a range of new generalized derivations of finite-dimensional Lie algebras over an algebraically closed field of characteristic zero. This new generalization of derivations has an analogue in the theory of associative prime rings and unites many well-known generalized derivations that have already appeared extensively in the study of Lie algebras and other nonassociative algebras. After exploiting fundamental properties, we introduce and analyze their interiors, especially focusing on the rationality of the corresponding Hilbert series. Applying techniques in computational ideal theory we develop an approach to explicitly compute these new generalized derivations for the three-dimensional special linear Lie algebra over the complex field.

Abstract:We prove that every 2-local derivation from the algebra $M_n(\mathcal{A})(n>2)$ into its bimodule $M_n(\mathcal{M})$ is a derivation, where $\mathcal{A}$ is a unital Banach algebra and $\mathcal{M}$ is a unital $\mathcal{A}$-bimodule such that each Jordan derivation from $\mathcal{A}$ into $\mathcal{M}$ is an inner derivation, and that every 2-local derivation on a C*-algebra with a faithful traceable representation is a derivation. We also characterize local and 2-local Lie derivations on some algebras such as von Neumann algebras, nest algebras, Jiang-Su algebra and UHF algebras.
A restricted model for the bounded derived category of gentle algebras

Abstract:We present a restricted model for the bounded derived category of gentle algebras that encodes the indecomposable objects and positive extensions between them. The model is then used to count the number of $d$-term silting objects for linearly oriented $A_n$, recovering the result that they are counted by the Pfaff-Fuss-Catalan numbers.

Abstract:In this paper we study non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz -algebras with one-dimensional derived subalgebra, where is a field with . We prove that such an algebra is isomorphic to the direct sum of the two-dimensional non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz algebra and an abelian algebra. We denote it by , where . This generalizes the result found in Demir et al. (Algebras and Representation Theory 19:405-417, 2016), which is only valid when . Moreover, we find the Lie algebra of derivations, its Lie group of automorphisms and the Leibniz algebra of biderivations of . Eventually, we solve the coquecigrue problem for by integrating it into a Lie rack.

Abstract:We classify all the pairs of a commutative associative algebra with an identity element and its finite-dimensional commutative locally-finite derivation subalgebra such that the commutative associative algebra is derivation-simple with respect to the derivation subalgebra over an algebraically closed field with characteristic 0. Such pairs are the fundamental ingredients for constructing generalized simple Lie algebras of Cartan type. Moreover, we determine the isomorphic classes of the generalized simple Lie algebras of Witt Type. The structure space of these algebras is given explicitly.

Abstract:For a finitary hereditary abelian category $\mathcal{A}$, we define a derived Hall algebra of its root category by counting the triangles and using the octahedral axiom, which is proved to be isomorphic to the Drinfeld double of Hall algebra of $\mathcal{A}$. When applied to finite-dimensional nilpotent representations of the Jordan quiver or coherent sheaves over elliptic curves, these algebras provide categorical realizations of the ring of Laurent symmetric functions and also double affine Hecke algebras.

Abstract:Given a commutative algebra $A$, we exhibit a canonical structure of post-Lie algebra on the space $A\otimes Der(A)$ where $Der(A)$ is the space of derivations on $A$, in order to use the machinery given in [Guin & Oudom 2008] and [Ebrahimi-Fard & Lundervold & Munthe-Kaas 2015] and to define a Hopf algebra structure on the associated enveloping algebra with a natural action on $A$. We apply these results to the setting of [Linares & Otto & Tempelmayr 2023], giving a simpler and more efficient construction of their action and extending the recent work [Bruned & Katsetsiadis]. This approach gives an optimal setting to perform explicit computations in the associated structure group.

Abstract:For every stable presentably symmetric monoidal $\infty$-category $\mathcal{C}$ we use the Koszul duality between the spectral Lie operad and the cocommutative cooperad to construct an enveloping Hopf algebra functor $\mathcal{U}: \mathrm{Alg}_{\mathrm{Lie}}(\mathcal{C}) \to \mathrm{Hopf}(\mathcal{C})$ from spectral Lie algebras in $\mathcal{C}$ to cocommutative Hopf algebras in $\mathcal{C}$ left adjoint to a functor of derived primitive elements. We prove that if $\mathcal{C}$ is a rational stable presentably symmetric monoidal $\infty$-category, the enveloping Hopf algebra functor is fully faithful. We conclude that Lie algebras in $\mathcal{C}$ are algebras over the monad underlying the adjunction $T \simeq \mathcal{U} \circ \mathrm{Lie}: \mathcal{C} \rightleftarrows \mathrm{Alg}_{\mathrm{Lie}}(\mathcal{C}) \to \mathrm{Hopf}(\mathcal{C}), $ where $\mathrm{Lie}$ is the free Lie algebra and $\mathrm{T}$ is the tensor algebra. For general $\mathcal{C}$ we introduce the notion of restricted $L_\infty$-algebra as an algebra over the latter adjunction. For any field $K$ we construct a forgetful functor from restricted Lie algebras in connective $H(K)$-modules to the $\infty$-category underlying a right induced model structure on simplicial restricted Lie algebras over $K $.

Biderivations of Lie algebras

Abstract:In this paper, we first introduce the concept of symmetric biderivation radicals and characteristic subalgebras of Lie algebras, and study their properties. Based on these results, we precisely determine biderivations of some Lie algebras including finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras over arbitrary fields of characteristic not $2$ or $3$, and the Witt algebras $\mathcal{W}^+_n$ over fields of characteristic $0$. As an application, commutative post-Lie algebra structure on aforementioned Lie algebras is shown to be trivial.

Abstract:In this paper we define the modified Ringel-Hall algebra $\cm\ch(\ca)$ of a hereditary abelian category $\ca$ from the category $C^b(\mathcal{A})$ of bounded $\mathbb{Z}$-graded complexes. Two main results have been obtained. One is to give a new proof of Green's formula on Ringel-Hall numbers by using the associative multiplication of the modified Ringel-Hall algebra. The other is to show that in certain twisted cases the derived Hall algebra can be embedded in the modified Ringel-Hall algebra. As a consequence of the second result, we get that in certain twisted cases the modified Ringel-Hall algebra is isomorphic to the tensor algebra of the derived Hall algebra and the torus of acyclic complexes and so the modified Ringel-Hall algebra is invariant under derived equivalences.

Abstract:The present paper is devoted to study 2-local derivations on infinite-dimensional Lie algebras over a field of characteristic zero. We prove that all 2-local derivations on the Witt algebra as well as on the positive Witt algebra are (global)derivations, and give an example of infinite-dimensional Lie algebra with a 2-local derivation which is not a derivation.

Derived deformation theory of algebraic structures

Abstract:The main purpose of this article is to develop an explicit derived deformation theory of algebraic structures at a high level of generality, encompassing in a common framework various kinds of algebras (associative, commutative, Poisson...) or bialgebras (associative and coassociative, Lie, Frobenius...), that is algebraic structures parametrized by props. A central aspect is that we define and study moduli spaces of deformations of algebraic structures up to quasi-isomorphisms (and not just isotopies or isomorphisms). To do so, we implement methods coming from derived algebraic geometry, by encapsulating these deformation theories as classifying (pre)stacks with good infinitesimal properties and derived formal geometry, by means of derived formal moduli problems and derived formal groups. In particular, we prove that the Lie algebra describing the deformation theory of an object in a given $\infty$-category of dg algebras can be obtained equivalently as the tangent complex of loops on a derived quotient of this moduli space by the homotopy automorphims of this object. Moreover, we provide explicit formulae for such derived deformation problems of algebraic structures up to quasi-isomorphisms and relate them in a precise way to other standard deformation problems of algebraic structures. This relation is given by a fiber sequence of the associated dg-Lie algebras of their deformation complexes. Our results provide simultaneously a vast generalization of standard deformation theory of algebraic structures which is suitable (and needed) to set up algebraic deformation theory both at the $\infty$-categorical level and at a higher level of generality than algebras over operads. In addition, we study a general criterion to compare formal moduli problems of different algebraic structures and apply our formalism to $E_n$-algebras and bialgebras.

A duality between Lie algebroids and infinitesimal foliations

Abstract:There are two natural analogues of algebraic foliations in derived algebraic geometry, called partition Lie algebroids and infinitesimal derived foliations, and both make sense in general characteristics. We construct an equivalence between these two notions under some finiteness conditions. Our method is refining the PD Koszul duality in \cite{BM}\cite{BCN} using the (completed) Hodge filtration.
