WHEAT BRAN DIFFERENT EXTRACT ON THE EFFECT OF FREE RADICAL SCAVENGING

Abstract:To study the different wheat bran extract's sacvening capacity of 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl radical(DPPH·),hydroxyl radical(·OH) and superoxide radical anion(O2-·).Wheat bran were extracted by three different solvents(petroleum ether,ethanol,water) and using spectrophotometer to measured the extract on DPPH·,·OH,O2-·removal of the effect.Results:The scavenging capacity of ethanol extract(SC50 was 0.86 g/L) on the DPPH·are strongest.The scavenging capacity on·OH,ethanol extract(SC50 was 1.88 g/L) and petrolem ether extract(SC50 was 1.94 g/L) are stonger than water extract,the scavenging capacity to close VC.The scavenging capacity of water extract(SC50:1.12 g/L) on O2-·are stronger than other extract,and close to VC.
