Abstract:In recent years,from the perspective of "New Youth" magazine some scholars carefully engaged in textual research and criticism to the origin of New Culture Movement and regarded democracy and science just as "to terrify" the opponents used by Chen Duxiu.But the facts were not like that and there were certain flaws.The issue of Chen Duxiu raising the banner of democracy and science had already constituted an emerging political narrative,but it was first a historic event happened before.
