Abstract:Objective To research the effects of chronic stress on hippocampus and prefrontal cortex of rats by functional magnetic resonance imaging(fMRI).Methods All the experimental rats were divided into two group by randomly(12/group): group chronic stress and group of control.Multi-factor chronic stress method was applied stress for 21 days. The behavioral capacity examination was performed by using method of open-field,and amplitude of low-frequency fluctuation(ALFF) examination was detected by fMRI.Results Compared with control group, after the chronic stress, spontaneous activity and exploratory behavior were less(P<0.05).The ALFF values of prefrontal cortex and hippocampus were decreased(P<0.05).After 1 week chronic stress, the values of the examination were recuperated in chronic stress rats, but fall short of normal level. Conclusion Apparently behavior change in open-field examination of chronic stress rats, these changes are closely with the ALFF reduction of prefrontal cortex and hippocampus of chronic stress depression rats.
