This paper explores the challenges and practical paths of ideological and political education for college students in the new era, emphasizing how to effectively carry out ideological and political education in the current context of rapid development of information and globalization. Abstract:This article compiles a questionnaire from the three dimensions of “political literacy”, “ideological ethics” and “mental health”. The survey finds that the university is living in the problems of large individual differences in political literacy, individual ideological and moral flaws, and low levels of mental health. The author proposes that in terms of concepts, the intensity of education in the critical period of ideological and political education for college students should be increased; in terms of ways, the educational function of ideological and political courses and the ideological and political theories teaching in all courses need to be integrated; in terms of content, the life and context of ideological and political education content should be promoted; in terms of methods, a diversified strategy system of ideological and political education that is experiential, verification, and generative should be adopted.

Abstract:Cultivating morality and nurturing talents is an important task of educational work, and the proposal of curriculum ideology and politics has laid a solid foundation for universities to implement the education of cultivating morality and nurturing talents. Ideological and political education in the curriculum, as an important tool for cultivating moral character, utilizes the main channel of classroom teaching to disseminate content related to ideological and political education and promote the development of correct core socialist values and good character in students. Integrating ideological and political elements into English courses requires students to consider multiple factors, explore ideological and political elements, and choose appropriate teaching methods. At present, the integration of ideological and political elements into college English courses is still in the exploratory stage. This article conducts a comprehensive analysis and research on the connotation of ideological and political elements in courses, and the difficulties, causes, and significance of integrating them into English courses. Lastly, practical and feasible teaching strategies are proposed, hoping to provide guidance for frontline teachers and promote students’ comprehensive development.

Abstract:As a public compulsory course for Non-English majors in colleges and universities, College Public English should not only develop students’ language and cross-cultural communication skills, but also cultivate their correct outlook on life, values, world and native land emotion, which is consistent with the ideological-political goals of the course. English textbook is the guarantee for the smooth progress of English teaching, and more importantly, it is an important carrier to practice Chinese teaching ideas. This paper mainly focuses on how to integrate ideological-political elements into English teaching from textbook perspective. It discusses the measures of integrating ideological-political education into College English courses from four aspects: teaching objectives, unit themes, and knowledge points, grammatical structure and word explanation. It is finally pointed out that exploring and integrating ideological-political elements in textbooks is the key link to realize ideological-political education in College Public English courses.

Abstract:"Great ideological and political course" is an important requirement of ideological and political education for the whole society, a new form of ideological and political education course in the systematic project of promoting morality and nurturing people to foster moral integrity, and a highly valued educational work of civics and politics course in the country at present. As an important guiding course for colleges and universities to cultivate outstanding young people in the new era, the ideological and political course for graduate students is not only an important hand to promote the innovation and development of graduate students, but also directly related to the development of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics and the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. At present, there are still common problems in the construction of postgraduates' civic and political science course, such as insufficient quality and ability of the teaching team, imperfect curriculum system, and non-standardized practical teaching. Therefore, it is of great significance to propose corresponding measures for relevant problems in order to promote the optimization and development of the postgraduate civics course teaching under the perspective of "great ideological and political course".

Abstract:Ideological and political theories teaching is an education and teaching concept with Chinese characteristics, which is an introduction of ideological and political elements in all kinds of curriculum teaching. It is aimed at guiding students to establish correct outlook on the world, life and values. During the study of foreign language and culture, students are more susceptible to the impact of diverse cultures, values and ideologies. Therefore, colleges and universities should strengthen the cultivation of patriotism, national consciousness and core socialist values of foreign language students. As a college Foreign Majors course, Comprehensive English course has the advantage of playing the function of implicit ideological and political education. Abstract:Under the educational background of “Ideological and Political Theories Teaching in All Courses” in colleges and universities across the country, how to effectively realize the multi-dimensional integration of ideological and political education into English major courses has become an important topic for foreign language teachers to think and explore. In this paper, based on the core course of English major, “English Viewing, Listening and Speaking”, the goal of ideological and political education is clarified, the teaching content is reconstructed, the teaching design is optimized, the assessment and evaluation are innovated, so a teaching model that integrates the multi-dimensional ideological and political education into all aspects of the course teaching is constructed. While learning professional knowledge and improving language ability, students should enhance their cultural confidence and national feelings, expand their international vision, shoulder their social responsibility of “Share China stories and spread China voice by good communications”. Abstract:The comprehensive advancement of ideological and political construction in university courses is a significant strategic move to thoroughly implement the important educational directives of General Secretary Xi Jinping and to fulfill the fundamental task of moral education. Universities should deepen educational and teaching reforms, thoroughly explore the ideological and political resources of courses, fully leverage the educational role of each course, and comprehensively improve the quality of talent training. The course on Engineering Law Principles and Practice has explored and practiced the path of ideological and political construction in courses. With the “One Body, Two Wings” model as the construction approach, it explores the path of ideological and political construction in this course. Focusing on student development, the course unfolds teaching through innovative application in teaching and value shaping for students as two wings. In terms of value shaping, it emphasizes not only exploring the ideological and political elements of the course in line with the actual situation of students but also requires teachers to lead by example and set a model for moral education. Additionally, establishing a scientific and effective evaluation system for the teaching effects of course ideological and political education ensures the effectiveness of the entire course’s ideological and political education. The teaching of the entire course enables students to not only learn knowledge and skills but also cultivate integrity, achieving the educational goals of the course.
