Expression and Regulation of Aquaporin

Abstract:Aquaporin(AQP) is a highly selective protein family of water channel,which includes 13 members.There is close relationship between AQP and some clinical diseases.Recently,the regulation effect of AQP in mammalians is a research focus on the field of water channel.This article introduces the molecular structure of AQP,and the influence factors of expression and function of AQP,such as physical and chemical factors,hormone and other proteins.The regulation mechanism of AQP in pulmonary edema,brain edema and kidney disease is also discussed.
