Formal Modeling of Network Management Model based on Multi-Agent System

Abstract:Applying the multi-agent system to network management is a novel train of thought of constructing the new generation network management system. However,most of the network management models based on multi-agent system are described by the informal method,which leads the different meanings and the arbitrariness that the people understand the models and develop the systems. A method modeling the distributed network management model using Colored Petri Net is presented. This method can roundly depict the architecture and the operation mechanism of the multi-agent system in the distributed network management model and describe the various characteristics of the agent.
