The Expression and Correlational Analysis of Survivin and Ki-67 in Tissues of Squamous Cell Carcinoma and Basal Cell Epithelioma

Abstract:Objective To observe the expression and effect of Survivin,Ki-67 in lesions of squmaous cell carcinoma(SCC)and basal cell epithelioma(BCE).Methods The expression of Survivin,Ki-67 in SCC and BCC were detected by immunohistochemical method.16 normal tissue from plastic surgery of as control.Results The positive expression rate of Survivin was higher in SCC and BCE than that in normal skin with a statistically significant differences(all P0.05).The positive expression of Survivin was higher in SCC than that in BCE with a statistically significant difference(P0.05).The positive expression of Ki-67 was higher in SCC and BCE than that in normal skin with a statistically significant difference(P0.05),But there was no significant difference between SCC and BCE(P0.05).There was a positive correlation between Survivin and Ki-67 in SCC and BCE(r=0.77,P0.05).Conclusions The expression of Survivin and Ki-67 both in lesion of SCC and BCE were higher,which indicated that two genes might contribute to the development of tumors.
