Abstract:Objective To implement the quality standard of xiaoyao capsules.Methods The thin-layer chromatography(TLC)was used to identify qualitatively radix bupleuri,angelica sinensis,radix paeoniae alba,fried white atractylodes,poria cocos,roasted liquorice,mentha haplocalyx and ginger.The high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)was adopted to determine the contents of ferulie acid and paeoniflorin.Results TLC could detect qualitatively radix bupleuri,angelica sinensis,radix paeoniae alba,fried white atractylodes,poria cocos,roasted liquorice,mentha haplocalyx and ginger.The spots were clear and the negative controls were not interfered.HPLC determined that the content of ferulie acid was in the range from 0.166 to 2.075 mg and that of paeoniflorin was from 0.106 to 1.330 μg.A good linear relationship presented in the range.r were 0.999 5 and 0.999 9 respectively.The average sample recovery of ferulie acid was 98.09% and RSD=1.37%.That of paeoniflorin was 98.02% and RSD=1.74%.Conclusion This qualitative and quantitative determination method is simple in operation.The results are accurate,reliable and good in reproducibility.This method can effectively control the quality xiaoyao capsules.
