Abstract:Soundscape is a new interdisciplinary field of landscape and acoustics. This paper is intended to study the relationship between soundscape and culture. That is, the Chinese culture's pursuit of acoustic beauty from three aspects as poetries, writings and drawings. It is demonstrated by the case study of soundscape in West Lake scenic area, with particular emphasis on humane attribute. The study has approached by three steps as classification - case study - promotion to region. The major attractions of West Lake scenic area is divided into natural and artificial categories, and the typical cases selected are Orioles Singing in the Willows and Evening Bell Ringing at Nanping hill. The two cases are analyzed from two aspects as the cultural background and humanities artistic conception, in order to prove the subject. And the importance of soundscape culture research to the construction of West Lake scenic area is declared further.

Abstract:Abstract: Civilization is a symbol of culture, and only music education with the spirit of civilization has the core of culture. To meet the needs of the times and promote the reform of the educational system, this study analyzes the Eastern rites and music civilization, and Western ethical civilization. The similarities and differences between them were compared. It was found that both affirm the moral-emotional-aesthetic value of music, but they consider the internal and external nature of its role different. The philosophical foundations of the music education system in modern society are analyzed, and the current state of music education is reflected. Aiming at the problems of lack of subjectivity, lack of understanding and lack of musical identity in music education, the study proposes an innovative path for modern music education in the way of the return of the civilizations of oriental “rites and music” and western “ethics,” i.e., resetting the norms of the musical grammatical behavior, penetrating the humanistic connotations and defining the position of subjectivity.

Abstract:Sage Open, Volume 14, Issue 1, January-March 2024. Modern Chinese traditional instruments have also embarked on a path of learning from Western musicology. Most research on instrument improvement has focused solely on Western instruments and issues inherent to the instruments themselves. However, to explore further directions for the improvement of Chinese instruments and enhance the quality of instrument creation and performance, this paper employs grounded theory to construct a "Sound Performance—Subject Driving—Environmental Inducing" dynamic model (SSE) for the improvement of Chinese traditional instruments. This model analyzes the various factors and driving mechanisms influencing improvement. We found that sound optimization is the main force driving instrument improvement, exerting the greatest influence on the improvement process. In terms of external driving forces, professional knowledge and esthetic pursuit play a crucial role, forming a dynamic triangular relationship among instrument manufacturers, performers, and Chinese traditional music groups. The dynamic changes in instrument improvement, through this triangular interaction, are ultimately influenced by cultural recognition, social policy, and technological innovation.

Abstract:The Chinese path to modernization shares characteristics with modernization in all countries,but it also has the characteristics based on its own national conditions. Common prosperity is an important feature and essential requirement of the Chinese path to modernization. This journal presents a series of written discussions on the major issues in this area such as the universality of common prosperity,the Chinese path to modernization,and the provincial first exploration of practice pathways. People-centered modernization leads to common prosperity. The fundamental pathway for human modernization is to improve the allocation of rights and opportunities to achieve the general equality of capabilities. The team of private entrepreneurs in Zhejiang is a valuable resource and bearer of high-quality development and common prosperity in Zhejiang. The high-quality development of the private economy is related to the Chinese path to modernization. Common prosperity and provincial modernization in advance conform to the general law of socialist development and evolving modernization,laying a Chinese path to universal modernization. The innovation discourse of the Chinese path to modernization,which combines particularity with universality,has universal enlightenment for human modernization. Abstract:Education plays a crucial role in the growth of both society and the economy, serving as the foundation upon which progress is built. However, it is not enough to simply have an education system in place; it must be continually improved and developed to meet the changing needs of society. With the progress of economic development, the width of education continues to expand, people pay attention to quality education increasingly, among which the popularity of music education is also changing. In order to further enhance the popularity of music education in the future, while looking for new ways to promote economic growth, it needs to explore the connection between the two. This paper discusses the relationship between the popularity of music education and the level of economic development. By studying the changing trend of the economic development stage and the popularity of music education since New China and the popularity of music education in the context of the significant economic development gap between countries in the world, the basic idea of promoting the popularity of music education and economic development can be found : economic development and the popularity of music education promote each other. In the future, by coordinating the development of the two, mutual promotion can be achieved and get twice the result with half the effort.

Abstract:The increasing globalization and internationalization of the cultural industry requires careful consideration of the global trends in the development of the cultural industry. During the last decade many Asian countries, especially China, have also taken a leading position in the global market of services of the cultural industry. China has achieved an impressive amount of success in the development and industry of culture and tourism around the world. The relevance of this study is due to the opportunities and need to make use of the experience of China for the development of the cultural industry and, primarily, musical culture in Russia. The development of the cultural industry, the experience of propaganda, the experience of opposing the Western model, and the experience of financing and internationalization must be studied and adapted to Russian conditions. After the Nanjing Peace Treaty of 1842 there began a gradual influence of European artistic achievements on China. Solo violin, chamber and orchestral music became widespread, the system of professional training for violinists began to take shape, and Chinese composers started composing their first works for the violin. In the context of the formation of a contemporary model of relations between Russia and China, scientific and educational cooperation involves a detailed analysis of the mechanisms of the organization of partner countries and the identification of possible ways of cooperation in this area. The development of the management experience of cultural industry, propaganda experience, the experience of opposition to the Western model, and the experience of financing and internationalization must be studied and disseminated in the Russian context.
The Cultural Politics of Introducing Popular Music into China's Music Education

Abstract:Since embarking on its course of economic reform and opening up to the world in the late 1970s, China has moved from a planned economy to a socialist-market economy; the resulting social and cultural changes have been many, and are reflected in the country's school music curriculum. This paper first introduces the historical background of popular music in the community and in school music in China in the 20th century. Second, it explores the reformation of music education that has, from the turn of the millennium, included popular music in school music education. This is followed by a discussion of the integration of popular music into the school curriculum in terms of how music education and cultural politics are shaped by the social and political relationships between (1) contemporary cultural and social values and traditional Chinese ideologies; (2) collectivism and individualism; and (3) nationalism and globalism. It is argued that, despite the introduction of popular music and the emphasis put on it in some areas of school music education, the Chinese state still uses traditional Chinese culture and values to enhance its legitimacy and consolidate its authority.

Abstract:Abstract: As one of the treasures of Chinese culture, Chinese traditional music has been carrying rich moral thoughts since ancient times, and it is an important part of the value system of Chinese traditional culture. However, with the society’s development and the diversification of culture, the rapid social rhythm and the popularity of popular music have brought great impact on traditional music, and it has been gradually forgotten due to its neglect. By exploring the application and value of traditional Chinese music in moral education and virtue cultivation, this paper combined traditional music culture with the modern residents’ living habits, such as education, large-scale social events, competitions and music festivals. Through school education and regular community activities, this paper can provide new ideas and practical experience for the inheritance and innovation of traditional culture. Through the integration of modern media and art forms, the moral concept of traditional music is connected with modern society, forming a new cultural ecology that is more modern and inclusive. By making use of the rich moral thought resources in traditional Chinese music, it shows that traditional Chinese music has irreplaceable role and value in moral education and virtue cultivation.

Abstract:Culture, as an intangible piece of heritage, is one of the priorities of sustainable conservation. With the rapid modernization of science and technology, traditional culture that is expressed in the form of sound is facing prominent problems related to inheritance and development. Thinking about how to integrate traditional culture into the daily life of the public is an important way of solving sustainability problems related to traditional culture. This study took Guqin culture as its research object, explored the possibility of using sound as an interactive medium, and considered how to present traditional culture to the public in public space to broaden the inheritance and development mode of Guqin culture. Therefore, this study proposes a public Sound Interaction Design Model oriented to sound and presents a public sound-interactive installation with different levels based on the model. The feasibility of the model is verified through an interactive design evaluation method, and the role of the model in sustainable cultural development is discussed.

Abstract:Report to the 20 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China emphasized “common prosperity” eight times, indicating that along with the process of China entering the stage of building a strong socialist modern country, high priority has been given to common prosperity for all people instead of “letting part of the people getting rich first”.This paper elaborates the mechanism through which education promotes common prosperity, including（1） education raises the quality of human capital, promotes economic growth and thus creating the material base for common prosperity;（2） education enhances the understanding of public interests of people, thus laying down the social foundation for income redistribution and philanthropy for common prosperity;（3） education taps the potentials and strengthens the abilities of every members of the society in wealth creation for common prosperity;（4） high quality education resources for low income groups helps to promote upward social mobility and blocking-up intergenerational poverty transmission;（5） education accelerates the urbanization process and promotes city and countryside integration, and thus reducing differences of urban and rural areas for common prosperity.

Abstract:Lusheng is a traditional wind musical instrument cherished by various ethnic minorities in China. The objective of this study is to investigate the role of Lusheng Chinese musical instruments in promoting literacy through educational functions and transmission. Conducted in Guizhou Province, a region rich in ethnic diversity, this study employs qualitative methods and engages two key informants who are local artisans with interview and observation forms. The data analysis reveals multifaceted insights into Lusheng’s transmission and promotion. Findings highlight the challenges posed by modernization to traditional craftsmanship, emphasizing the urgency of preserving Lusheng production skills. The inclusion of Lusheng in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage list and the establishment of educational programs in primary, and secondary schools, and universities underscore the government’s commitment to safeguarding Lusheng culture. Moreover, the research underscores the transformative impact of modern media on Lusheng’s dissemination, and cross-cultural engagement is recognized as vital for expanding its influence. Balancing tradition and innovation remains a challenge. The study suggests collaborative efforts among government, academia, and society to develop a comprehensive conservation strategy, ensuring the continued transmission and promotion of Lusheng culture.

This paper analyses its causes and puts forward some strategies.
