Forensic Analysis of 250 Cases of Facial Injuries

Abstract:BACKGROUND To analyze the common characteristics of forensic identification for facial injuries to provide the basis for the clinical forensic identification. CASE REPORTS Identification data of 250 cases of facial injuries were selected from January 2006 to December 2007,and the gender,age,damage degree,property,location,complications,sequelae and identification time were retrospectively analyzed. Of 250 cases of facial injury,there were 83.2% of male,49.2% of 21～40 years old,94.0% of blunt injury and 4.8% of serious injury. DISCUSSION Most of facial injuries happened in young and middle aged male,was belong to minor injury was located in the obital and nasal parts. And the identification time was determined according to the traumatic condition,was within six months after injury,and it should be fully considered at clinical forensic identification that the sequelae and complications of injury affects the identification conclusion.
