Abstract:Objective: To discuss feasibility of determining the contents of trace element in Radix salviae miltiorrhizae by spectrophotometry,and to expound potential relationship between the sorts and contents of the elements.Methods: Different metal ions can be colored with specific color reagent,engendering visible light absorption,so spectrophotometry was adopted to determine the contents both of Radix salviae miltiorrhizae and standard substance of human hair.Results: The results showed that Radix salviae miltiorrhizae was rich in trace element,the content of Fe was especially higher(148.32 mg/kg),Zn was 73.54 mg/kg,Cu was 45.99 mg/kg.Conclusion: Spectrophotometry has the advantages of simple operation,high-speed and accurate,could be popularized widely.The relationship between sorts and contents of elements in Radix salviae miltiorrhizae and pharmacological actions of them.
