Abstract:The ethanol extracts of different parts of Inula salsoloides Ostenf.against Plutella xylostella was compared;and the part with the highest insecticidal activity was screened out.Different solvent was used for extractive separation.Then the extracts were tested for contact toxicity and antifeedant effect against 3rd instar larve of Plutella xylostella.The results showed that extracts from the whole plant of Inula salsoloides Ostenf.had the highest activity.At the concentration of 50 g/L,the corrected mortality by contacting in 72 h and nonselective antifeedant rates in 24 h reached 96.67% and 100.00% respectively.The chloroform extracts had the best insecticidal activity among different solvent extracts.The corrected mortality within 72 h and nonselective antifeedant rates within 24 h were 80.00% and 96.46% respectively.
