Abstract:We prove that every finite dimensional algebra over an algebraically closed field is either derived tame or derived wild. The proof is based on the technique of matrix problems (boxes and reduction algorithm). It implies, in particular, that any degeneration of a derived wild algebra is derived wild; respectively, any deformation of a derived tame algebra is derived tame.

Abstract:This paper deals with $n$ dimensional algebras, over any field, which have only trivial derivation (automorphism). It is shown that the corresponding sets of algebras are not empty and in algebraically closed field case they are dense subsets of the variety of $n$ dimensional algebras with respect to the Zariski topology. An application to the problems of local, $k$-local derivations(automorphisms) of finite dimensional algebras is provided as well.

Abstract:In this paper we study non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz -algebras with one-dimensional derived subalgebra, where is a field with . We prove that such an algebra is isomorphic to the direct sum of the two-dimensional non-nilpotent non-Lie Leibniz algebra and an abelian algebra. We denote it by , where . This generalizes the result found in Demir et al. (Algebras and Representation Theory 19:405-417, 2016), which is only valid when . Moreover, we find the Lie algebra of derivations, its Lie group of automorphisms and the Leibniz algebra of biderivations of . Eventually, we solve the coquecigrue problem for by integrating it into a Lie rack.

Abstract:The extension dimensions of an Artin algebra give a reasonable way of measuring how far an algebra is from being representation-finite. In this paper we mainly study the behavior of the extensions dimensions of algebras under different equivalences. We show that the difference of the extension dimensions of two derived equivalent algebras is bounded above by the length of the tilting complex associated with the derived equivalence, and that the extension dimension is an invariant under the stable equivalence. In addition, we provide two sufficient conditions such that the extension dimension is an invariant under particular derived equivalences.

Abstract:In this paper, we explain a strategy on $g$-vectors to discover some new minimal $\tau$-tilting infinite two-point algebras. Consequently, the $\tau$-tilting finiteness of various two-point monomial algebras, including all radical cube zero cases, could be determined. Moreover, we find that the derived equivalence class of the Kronecker algebra contains only itself and its opposite algebra.

Abstract:We construct a matrix algebra Λ(A,B) from two given finite dimensional elementary algebras A and B and give some sufficient conditions on A and B under which the derived Jordan–Hölder property (DJHP) fails for Λ(A,B). This provides finite dimensional algebras of finite global dimension which do not satisfy DJHP.

Abstract:The study of central derivations in low-dimensional algebraic structures is a crucial area of research in mathematics, with applications in understanding the internal symmetries and deformations of these structures. In this article, we investigate the central derivations of complex Zinbiel algebras of dimension $\leq 4$. Key properties of the central derivation algebras are presented, including their structures and dimensions. The results are summarized in a tabular format, providing a clear classification of decomposable and indecomposable centroids based on these derivations. Specifically, we show that the centroid of two-dimensional Zinbiel algebras is indecomposable, while in three-dimensional Zinbiel algebras, centroids such as $\A_3^3$, $\A_4^3$, $\A_6^3$, and $\A_7^3$ are decomposable. For four-dimensional Zinbiel algebras, centroids including $\A_1^4$, $\A_3^4$, $\A_5^4$, $\A_9^4$, $\A_{10}^4$, $\A_{11}^4$, and $\A_{16}^4$ are decomposable. Furthermore, the dimensions of central derivation algebras vary across different dimensions: two-dimensional Zinbiel algebras have central derivation dimensions of one, while in three-dimensional and four-dimensional cases, these dimensions range from zero to nine.

Symmetry of Derived Delooping Level

Abstract:The finitistic dimension conjecture is closely connected to the symmetry of the finitistic dimension. Recent work indicates that such connection extends to one of its upper bounds, the delooping level. In this paper, we show that the same holds for the derived delooping level, which is an improvement of the delooping level. This reduces the finitistic dimension conjecture to considering algebras whose opposite algebra has (derived) delooping level zero. We thereby demonstrate ways to utilize the new concept of derived delooping level to obtain new results and present additional work involving tensor product of algebras.

On $τ$-tilting finiteness of symmetric algebras of polynomial growth

Abstract:In this paper, we report on the $\tau$-tilting finiteness of some classes of finite-dimensional algebras over an algebraically closed field, including symmetric algebras of polynomial growth, $0$-Hecke algebras and $0$-Schur algebras. Consequently, we find that derived equivalence preserves the $\tau$-tilting finiteness over symmetric algebras of polynomial growth, and self-injective cellular algebras of polynomial growth are $\tau$-tilting finite. Furthermore, the representation-finiteness and $\tau$-tilting finiteness over $0$-Hecke algebras and $0$-Schur algebras (with few exceptions) coincide.

Zero divisors and topological divisors of zero in certain Banach algebras

Abstract:In this paper we prove that an element $f\in \mathcal{A}(\mathbb{D})$ is a topological divisor of zero(TDZ) if and only if there exists $z_0 \in \mathbb{T}$ such that $f(z_0)=0.$ We also give a characterization of TDZ in the Banach algebra $L^\infty(\mu).$ Further, we prove that the multiplication operator $M_h$ is a TDZ in $\mathcal{B}(L^p(\mu))~(1\leq p\leq\infty)$ if and only if $h$ is a TDZ in $L^\infty(\mu).$ Subsequently, we show that a composition operator $C_{\phi}$ is a TDZ in $\mathcal{B}(L^2(\mu))$ if and only if $\frac{d\mu \phi^{-1}}{d\mu}$ is a TDZ in $L^{\infty}(\mu).$ Lastly, we determine composition operators on the Hardy spaces $\mathbb{H}^p(\mathbb{D})$ and $\ell^p$ spaces which are zero-divisors.

Abstract:Let $\Bbbk$ be a field of characteristic zero. Motivated by the fundamental question of whether it is possible for the universal enveloping algebra of an infinite-dimensional Lie algebra to be noetherian, we study Lie algebras of derivations of associative algebras. The main result of this paper is that the universal enveloping algebra of the Lie algebra of derivations of a finitely generated $\Bbbk$-algebra is not noetherian. This extends a result of Sierra and Walton on the Witt algebra, as well as a result of the second author on Krichever-Novikov algebras. We highlight that the result applies to derivations of both commutative and noncommutative algebras without restriction on their growth.

Abstract:Several kinds of quotient triangulated categories arising naturally in representations of algebras are studied; their relations with the stable categories of Frobenius exact categories are investigated; the derived categories of Gorenstein algebras are explicitly computed inside the stable categories of the graded module categories of the corresponding trivial extension algebras; new descriptions of the singularity categories of Gorenstein algebras are obtained.

Abstract:Let (V,0)={(z1,…,zn)∈Cn:f(z1,…,zn)=0} be an isolated hypersurface singularity with mult(f)=m. Let Jk(f) be the ideal generated by all k-th order partial derivatives of f. For 1≤k≤m−1, the new object Lk(V) is defined to be the Lie algebra of derivations of the new k-th local algebra Mk(V), where Mk(V):=On/((f)+J1(f)+…+Jk(f)). Its dimension is denoted as δk(V). This number δk(V) is a new numerical analytic invariant. In this article we compute L4(V) for fewnomial isolated singularities (binomial, trinomial) and obtain the formulas of δ4(V). We also verify a sharp upper estimate conjecture for the δ4(V) for large class of singularities. Furthermore, we verify another inequality conjecture: δ(k+1)(V)<δk(V),k=3 for low-dimensional fewnomial singularities.

Abstract:For a finitary hereditary abelian category $\mathcal{A}$, we define a derived Hall algebra of its root category by counting the triangles and using the octahedral axiom, which is proved to be isomorphic to the Drinfeld double of Hall algebra of $\mathcal{A}$. When applied to finite-dimensional nilpotent representations of the Jordan quiver or coherent sheaves over elliptic curves, these algebras provide categorical realizations of the ring of Laurent symmetric functions and also double affine Hecke algebras.
