Abstract:The construction of the digital substations is one of the important basis of the digital grid development. Abstract:The construction of digital substations is the foundation of digital power grids. In view of technical basis of digital substation at present, the authors analyze main technical features reflecting the property of digital substation and point out that the non-conventional instrument transformer, the reliability of network communication, IED interoperability, time synchronization and information security are key technologies to implement digital substation. Finally the technical and economical significance of these new technologies are summarized.

Abstract:Aiming at the practical application of IEC 61850 standard at present,starting from such aspects as improving model description,accessing primary equipment,optimizing network structure and ensuring information safety,the substation design based on IEC 61850 and some key technologies during its application were analyzed.Some suggestions were proposed on adopting fault tolerance,encryption,virtual private network technology for several problems encountered in operation.

Abstract:The multi-site smart substation has the characteristics of intelligent operation and maintenance, data fusion and economic efficiency, which can meet the needs of intelligent, digital and zero-carbon development. Thus, this paper establishes a multi-site smart substation scheme based on digital and physical simulation technology. First, it analyzes the intelligent operation and maintenance application of operation, inspection and defect identification in the intelligent operation and maintenance of the substation, and the data fusion application to improve the information judgment ability. The economical and efficient application of carbon photovoltaics; secondly, the data model, 3D model and simulation model of digital and physical simulation technology are analyzed; finally, the economy, intelligence and effectiveness of multi-site smart substations are verified by practical example simulation.

Abstract:The smart substation, revolutionarily changing every aspect of the modern substation, is developing fast in the world and being massively deployed in China quickly. A smart substation is typically implemented with a sophisticated combination of smart primary high-voltage equipment and hierarchically networked secondary devices. Based on the IEC61850 communication protocol, the functionalities, such as the information sharing and interoperability among smart electric equipment, are realized in smart substations. It is regarded as the basis for the development of smart grid and represents the future development trend of substation technologies. This paper reviews the fundamental vision of the smart substation. The state of the art and the challenges encountered in the practice of engineering implementation are presented. Future developments to solve the present challenges and promote the development of smart substations are also described.

Abstract:The communication mode and architecture-based on IEC 61850 is the development tendency of substation automation and it is also the base of digital substation in future.This paper introduces the design scheme of 220kV substation relay protection for application of IEC 61850,which adopts a mode to combine the normal primary equipments with IED according to IEC61850 specification.It studies the design scheme of digital substation and the compatible mode of conventional substation.The paper also analyzes the instantiation of GOOSE application.It has reference meaning for understanding the development tendency of substation automation and studying how to apply IEC 61850 in practical engineering.

Abstract:With the breakthrough of electrooptical technology research on sensor application, the promulgation of IEC 61850, the application of Ethernet communication technology and the development of intelligent breaker, digital substation has become the mainstream of substation automation technology development in future. Abstract:Substation is an important part of power system and its operation status exerts great effect on the safety of power system. Comprehensive monitoring management platform for substation (CMMP) is a digital monitoring platform which has uniform interfaces; flexible expansibility and hierarchical network control ability, and it is custom-designed for safe operation of substation. CMMP consists of direct current real-time monitoring subsystem, intrusion detection and hierarchical video monitoring subsystem, temperature and humidity and fire monitoring subsystem based on WSNs. CMMP adopt composite structure of C/S and B/S which would be convenient for computer and other mobile end to query monitoring information. Owing to the perfect private network of power system, CMMP can monitor both local and cross-domain substations. In addition, CMMP can classify and manage all kinds of alarm information from substation and realize distribution monitoring centralized management.

Abstract:Embarking from the sensing principle of electronic transformer, the paper introduced the type and the constitution of electronic current transformer and electronic voltage transformer. By comparing the active and passive optical transformer in our country, we pointed out that the passive optical transformer have excellent measurement quality, it also have the same practical conditions as the active optical transformer. The paper elaborated the application project of electronic transformer in digital substation, and pointed out that the using of electronic transformer would accelerate the application of digital substation from the experiment site to the popularization.

Abstract:As the development of new technologies such as pure optical transformer,IEEE1588 clock synchronization technology,IEC61850-9-2 network construction etc.in recentyears,these new technologies have been preliminarily explored to be applied in some digital substations.It is a prominent problem to systematically evaluate the performance of digital substation.This paper introduces the project's scheme and practical experience of digital interval test in east Suzhou(Yushan substation),proposes the content and measure of the digital substation test,and concludes some problems in the test.

Abstract:Abstract This paper analyses the needs of smart grids for smart substation automation systems, studies and proposes a new scheme for smart substation automation systems, which applies vertical integration of intervals to reduce the implementation of protection and monitoring functions, improve system reliability and ease of maintenance; Adopting network parallel redundancy protocol to improve the reliability and standardization of information transmission in the station; applying service-oriented monitoring function to improve the level of information sharing and coordination and interaction between substations and control centres. The key technology of the system is expounded, and its application prospect is prospected. Finally, the discussion and analysis of some problems that may exist when the system is popularized and applied.

Abstract:Based on the analysis of the important influence of the development and applications of some new technologies to substation automation system,this paper proposes the possible tendencies in this field.With the development and application of the electronic instrument transformer technology,the rapid development of flexible alternate current transmission technique and the application of multimedia and the optical fiber communication technologies in the substation,the functions of security monitoring,fault diagnosing and so on in substation automation systems have explicitly expanded.The reform of working mechanism of the electrical power industry raises much more requirements to the functions of substation automation systems.It is obvious that accompanying with the ceaseless emergence and application of new technologies,the functions and system architecture of substation automation system will be promoted to the direction of complete digitization,high level intelligentization,and standardization of transmission protocol and transmission networking.

Abstract:With the construction of smart grid,the two-level distributed architecture of substation and control center will be the trend of dispatching automation system in future.In this two-level distributed automation system,data analysis in substation as well as coordination with control center is undertaken by digital substation.To meet the demand of application in substation,a modeling method of protection devices for substation application platform,as well as the modeling specifications,was presented based on the comprehension of IEC 61850,and a visual modeling tool was developed in this paper.Finally,the application of this modeling method was introduced.

Abstract:The system architecture and design principles of digitized substation are expounded and the technical fundamentals for the proposed system architectures are analyzed. The basic scheme of network composition for process bus and station bus are presented. Digitized substation architectures with high reliability are proposed in the matter of functional redundancy and network fault tolerance, and the solutions for the connecting of conventional devices are put forward in the process level and bay level.
