Abstract:Mr.Qian Zhongshu,a cultural giant and academician with distinct academic personality in the 20th century,showed bravery in his pursuit of truth and true virtue in his writings.His interest was always in the creation and appreciation of literary works.His academic pursuit was based on solid materials,with languages being his tool.His basic cultural idea was to transcend the racial differences and to fuse Western and Chinese cultures,with the sense of linking and poetic method in the study of history being his basic academic method,and with Der Hermeneutische Zirkel as his main principle and method of hermeneutics.
