Exploring the Learning Process of Independent-recruited Students in Chinese Universities——An Empirical Research of Independent-recruited Students in 9 Universities

Abstract:In recent years,the paradigm of higher education quality assessment has shifted from the traditional resource-centered to learner's learning process-centered.The exploration of undergraduates' learning process is important,especially for the special groups such as self-recruitment groups.An empirical research based on a randomly sampled dataset within nine universities across the country compares the self-recruitment groups and the traditional-recruitment groups,and shows that the two groups are different in the learning process: the former have more incentives,learn more actively and better sense the school environment and educational goals.
