Abstract:Global change mainly characterized by elevated carbon dioxide concentration and global warming draws universal concerns from governments and scientists all over the world. Environmental and climatic factors are closely correlated to many plant phenological processes. There are a lot of investigations that indicate plant phenology has changed remarkably. Similarly, the changes in phenological seasonality of plants are likely to have a wide range of consequences for ecological processes. The phenological change could create some effects on regional or global climate change. Thus, plant phenology plays a crucial role in many aspects, especially in global carbon cycle. There is no immobilized regularity for the elevated carbon dioxide concentration to affect plant phenology. However, the increased temperature generally accelerates plant phenological processes, and the responses of plant phenology to increased temperature vary in different functional groups. Still, the responses of plant phenology to the interactions between the elevated carbon dioxide concentration and increased temperature need to be further studied. Tab 1, Ref 55
