The Change of Mir-214 Expression Level in Myocardium Post Acute Myocardial Infarction in Rat

Abstract:Objective To detect the change of expression level of miR-214 in myocardium post acute myocardium infarction in rat.Method: Rats underwent left descending coronary ligation or sham surgery.Rats with MI was assigned in two groups(n=5).Real-time PCR was used to detect the expression of miR-214,MHC-α,and MHC-βmRNA in myocardium.Results The expression level of miR-214 in myocardium was up-regulated in the 14th and 28th day post MI.Compared to sham group,the expression level of miR-214 in myocardium increased by 33%(P0.01) in the 14th day and by 88%(P0.01) in the 28th day post MI.The expression level of MHC-α,MHC-β mRNA altered in the progress of ventricular remodeling post MI in rat.the expression level of MHC-α mRNA in myocardium decreased by 46%(P0.01) in the 14th day and by 63%(P0.01) in the 28th day post MI.The expression level of MHC-βmRNA in myocardium increased by 2 fold(P0.01) in the 14th day and by 3.22 fold(P0.01) in the 28th day post MI.Conclusion The expression level of miR-214 altered in the progress of ventricular remodeling post MI in rat.MiR-214 might be involved in ventricular remodeling post MI.
