Primary Investigations on the Relationship Between Vwf and Integrin Β3 and Human Lung Cancer Cell Line GLC-82 Adehsion

Abstract:【Objective】The relationship between the two factors of vWF and integrin β3 and tumor medastasis has not been recognized. This study was to investigate expression of vWF and integrin β3 in human lung cancer, adhesion of GLC-82 human lung cancer cells on vWF and correlation of these two factors.【Methods】vWF and integrin β3 protein was examined using immunohistochemical staining method in GLC-82 human lung cancer cells. Correlation of vWF and integrin β3 was examined using adhesion experiment, antibody inhibiting experiment and MTT. 【Results】Positive expression of vWF and integrin β3 was detected in GLC-82 human lung cancer cells. GLC-82 human lung cancer cells were able to adhere to vWF. Using anti-integrin β3, we observed cell adhesion on vWF was inhibited, which had the same effect with using anti-vWF.【Conclusions】GLC-82 human lung cancer cells are capable of producing vWF, and vWF expression contributes to metastasis by adhering to cancer cells. Integrin β3 is the vWF receptor on GLC-82 human lung cancer cells.
