Application of Ecosystem Services Value in Land Use Program

Abstract:The researches of ecosystem services value have been greatly advanced in its theory,assessment scale and evaluation methods but its results were applied little.The paper took Yi County in HeBei Province as a case.Ecosystem services value was applied in the quantitative research of eco-benefit of land use program.It is significance to keep eco-balance,adopt the reasonable manner of land use and establish the model of sustainable land use.Based on the data of land use program of 1997、2002 and 2010 in Yi County,changes of the values of ecosystem services caused by land use change were estimated for Yi County and its 28 villages and towns with referring to the table of Chinese land ecosystem services value of unit area.Results show that from 1997 to 2010,the total ecosystem service values of the study area increased from $16.87×10~(8) to $20.06×10~(8).There was $3.20×10~(8) net enhancement and a 1.46% increase per year in total ecosystem service values.The increased trend of ecosystem service values caused by the change of land use showed that the program of land use change was reasonable and right,the change of land use obtained economic benefit and increased the eco-benefit of land use at the same time.But there are some shortages in the program,for example,no-use land occupy 45% in 2010,the program should be emended to increase the eco-benefit of land use.
