Abstract:In order to realize the energy efficient on the traffic and illuminating lights in city, the Intelligent Traffic and Illuminating Control System is proposed in this paper. The working criteria of real-time monitoring and intelligently control are designed. The key technologies including Internet of Things with power line communication by LonWorks technology and the piezoelectric sensor on site detecting are utilized in the research. The traffic density is detected by piezoelectric sensor and is "told" to LonWorks network to adjust the traffic red lamp lighting time and the illuminating time. The working flow of the Intelligent Traffic and Illuminating Control System has been verified to ensure the sufficient capability by Cp 1.72 and Cpk 1.60 within Statistical Process Control. The Energy efficient is achieved by 35.71% electrical energy reduction and 66.67% fuel consumption reduction on the energy saving and the carbon oxide emission reduction, which demonstrates that the Intelligent Control System achieves effective and valuable real-time monitoring and intelligently control with superiority of the energy efficient compared to the previous reports.

Abstract:In this study, we investigated on the application of planar lightwave circuit (PLC) technology in energy-saving control of tunnel lighting. The application status of PLC in the field of energy saving followed by the necessity of energy saving in tunnel lighting was analyzed. Finally, the application of PLC in tunnel lighting energy-saving control around the three dimensions of system overall architecture design, control scheme, and program control process was investigated. The results showed that the system meets the requirements of control effect, robustness, and visual effect after trial operation, and is suitable for practical applications.

Abstract:Basing on the effect factor analysis to the subway environment control energy consumption,the subway thermal environment simulation software (STESS) is used to simulate and predict the long-term (month by month) and short-term (hour by hour) change of the air velocity,air volume,pressure and temperature on different position along the subway,the environment control load of the station and whole year environment control energy consumption at different environment control working condition in the subway in some a south city of china.The relationship between ventilation scheme,thermal simulation scheme with the air conditioning load of each station and the whole year environment control energy consumption of the full line was specially discussed and a certain theory for the feasibility study of the subway environment control system,the system design and the operation management was also provided.

Abstract:In this paper, we present a study of PLC-based solution for energy saving tunnel lighting system. The article depicted the vision problems and design standard in tunnel lighting first. Then the objection of the current tunnel lighting system is pointed out, and a novel lighting control algorithm is brought forward: the luminance and length of each lighting zone can vary smoothly with the change of the velocity, flux of vehicles in the tunnel and the luminance at the entrance of tunnel. The structure of the system and its realization are also described. At last, the simulation on a tunnel model was done, which shows the system can optimize tunnel lighting with about 30% energy saving. (7 pages)

Abstract:Because of large numbers of passengers, Beijing subway has a great demand for huge power consumption. It is necessary to search possibilities of reducing the power consumption of Beijing Subway. This paper analyzed the actual power consumption of each subway line, the electric power used for powering the trains and all secondary consumption of electric power for operating the train stations of Beijing subway in detail. Additionally, the water consumption of each subway line of Beijing subway was also analyzed. The results provide a scientific basis for the design and operation of energy-saving subways.

Abstract:Under the background of rapid urbanization and carbon neutralization, energy-saving operation of subway stations has become a widespread concern in China. This study focused on energy-saving measures and potentials for Platform Screen Door (PSD) subway stations in various climates. To this end, theoretical-based white-box model was innovatively established and validated. Then Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (VAC) energy was extensively simulated to systematically analyze energy-saving potentials of five common measures, including mechanical fresh air supply, PSD airtightness, station temperature, Coefficient of Performance (COP) of chiller, Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of terminal equipment. Results show that operation measure with the greatest energy-saving potential is increasing air-conditioning temperature, with 16.9–21.0% of energy-saving potential. Besides, cancelling mechanical fresh air supply, improving COP of chiller, and improving EER of terminal equipment can bring about 11.6–20.3% of energy-savings for stations in different climate regions, whereas enhancing airtightness of PSD exerts the slightest impact on the VAC energy use, with merely 5% of energy-saving potential. Suggestions were proposed quantitatively according to effectiveness and priority of the measures, and economic benefits were discussed preliminarily. The outcomes of this study not only provide information support for governors to formulate specifications, but also provide reference for operators to take effective measures.

Abstract:The multi-site smart substation has the characteristics of intelligent operation and maintenance, data fusion and economic efficiency, which can meet the needs of intelligent, digital and zero-carbon development. Thus, this paper establishes a multi-site smart substation scheme based on digital and physical simulation technology. First, it analyzes the intelligent operation and maintenance application of operation, inspection and defect identification in the intelligent operation and maintenance of the substation, and the data fusion application to improve the information judgment ability. The economical and efficient application of carbon photovoltaics; secondly, the data model, 3D model and simulation model of digital and physical simulation technology are analyzed; finally, the economy, intelligence and effectiveness of multi-site smart substations are verified by practical example simulation.

Abstract:Investment and efficiency are key issues in intelligent substation construction.In order to solve this problem,after the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of intelligent substation technology program,the benefits of the smart devices,electronic transformer,equipment condition monitoring,a unified data platform and intelligent auxiliary control system were evaluated.With experience in building intelligent 500 kV pilot substation of Zhejiang province,the experimental results show that intelligent substation investment increase of about 4% to 6% than conventional substation,intelligent equipment investment accounts for a total investment of intelligent substation of about 10% to 15%.

Abstract:This paper is aimed at the realization method and control logic of variable-pressure and energy-saving water supply strategy for parallel pumps by theoretical and experimental research. The PLC, combined with frequency converters, has been used as control-system of the new control strategy. In addition, the intelligent variable-pressure control was realized by modeling water demand estimation for piping system, variable-pressure control and the pump increased or decreased control, based on energy-efficiency condition. Suggested by the experiment results, the water demand estimation model is reliable with high sensibility and accuracy up to 90%. Besides, the control effect and energy-efficiency of pumps are improved effectively owing to the optimization control strategy. The obtained results can be referred by both the energy-saving optimization of parallel pumping system and the development of variable-pressure water supply mode.

Abstract:The adjustable ventilation platform doors system in subway combines the advantages of platform-screen-doors system and the platform-bailout-door system, in result, shows energy saving effect in HVAC system. This research paper studied the ventilation effect by network simulation method using STESS software. Based on the ventilation simulation results, the energy saving effect of the system was analysed. The study objective is subway, which can be transformed into a network airflow model based on hydromechanics principles and subway structures. Thus, network simulation was applied in the subway ventilation research. Based on modelling, the relationship between ventilation volume and open area was found and discussed, which has never be down before. Moreover, the simulation results enable further analysis on energy consumption of subway HVAC system.

Abstract:This paper examines the energy consumption problems in the subway station Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (VAC) systems in a typical city, as well as identifying the fresh air-cooling load reduction as a key to energy savings. The two components of the fresh air in the stations, which are “mechanical fresh air” provided by VAC system and “unorganized fresh air” generated by piston effect, are analysed through network simulations and field measurements. The results indicate that the unorganized fresh air is sufficient to meet the demand, except for high-traffic times in the future phase. Based on the discussion, the current VAC systems in most part of China cannot sufficiently control the volume of mechanical fresh air. Accordingly, an improved system with the completely sealed fresh air damper and a matched fresh air controlling method is proposed, and the method is verified by field tests. The study informs the readers about the ways to achieve energy saving in subway stations through the control effective usage of the fresh air.

Abstract:Research purposes: The lighting system is the key component to maintain routine operation,because of its long operation time and huge power consumption,the subway lighting energy-saving has great significant nowadays.The subject of obtains the indicators which has deeper impact on electricity efficiency and the economical practical of energy-saving direction for the subway lighting system according to the electric efficiency evaluation construction. Research conclusions:The electric efficiency parameter of metro station lighting system is extracted,the set of parameters' hierarchical framework and relationship are clearly defined.Combination of Delphi method and BP neural network method,the index of evaluation system are twice-confirmed in the parameter set.With the analytical hierarchy process and the qusai-entropy method as an analysis tools,the index which affected electric efficiency in subway station lighting system are empowered weights in an integrated way.The electric efficiency evaluation system of whole subway station lighting system which is reflected the expert opinion tendency about energy-saving,which is a scientific management of energy and a comprehensive analysis of energy saving,which is provided the scientific basis for technological transformation of implementation energy-saving and enhancement of energy efficiency.

Abstract:Intelligent control system is applied for modern intelligent buildings frequently,which can reduce the consumption of energy. Due to this problem, this paper adopts SIEMENS PLC controller (S7-226) and frequency conversion technology for automatic control design of the central air conditioning system in building energy saving. The application indicates that the energy saving effect of modern buildings is achieved by adjusting the output flow of the pump based on PLC technology, the building energy efficiency is increased by 20%.

Abstract:With the continuous expansion of the subway scale, the amount of energy consumed by subway stations has become a concern, among which the energy consumption of ventilation and air-conditioning (VAC) system takes a large proportion. There are many former studies concentrated on this topic. However, the problems of previous studies are obvious, such as time-consuming and unclear practical meaning of the energy model. This study has proposed a model based on theoretical analysis and focused on the energy model of the VAC system for underground subway stations. The energy model consists of the model for the cooling load and the energy efficient ratio. In this model, basic station information and environmental parameters should be tested and inputted. Then with the help of simple simulation tools, Subway Thermal Environment Simulation Software (STESS), the energy consumption of the station can be fast estimated by the model proposed in this paper. This model can be applied to determine the energy-saving potential of changing operation pattern and adopting energy-saving technologies, which gives guidance to the energy-saving retrofit of the station.

Abstract:This design combines PLC, sensors, configuration software to design and implement the hardware and software of traditional automatic fire alarm and fire-fighting systems, to improve the reliability of the system. First, the composition of the automatic fire alarm and fire protection system is described. Second, after fully understanding the design requirements of the system, the main control equipment of the automatic fire alarm and fire protection system adopts PLC, the PLC is selected, and finally the Siemens S7-300 PLC is selected. The sensor selects PT100 temperature sensor and JTY-GD-G3 scattered light type photoelectric smoke sensor; finally, use the TIA configuration monitoring software to write the automatic fire alarm and the host computer monitoring software and PLC program of the fire-fighting system to complete the software function and humancomputer interaction the design of the interface.
