Research on Syndrome Differentiation and Common Law of Colorectal Cancer Treatment of Famous Doctors of TCM in Zhejiang Province

Abstract:[Objective] To carry out the research on syndrome differentiation and their common law of colorectal cancer treatment of famous doctors of TCM in Zhejiang Province, and summarize the general law in their diagnosis and treatment. [Methods]We followed six doctors(WU Liangcun, GUO Yong, SHEN Minhe, LIN Shengyou, FENG Zhengquan and SHAN Zesong) who have the certain influence in treating colorectal cancer to learn their clinical experience, and then collected and input information of their clinical diagnosis and treatment regularly to establish the basis of traditional Chinese medicine record database according to the subject of data mining. We used cluster analysis, correlation analysis and other data mining technologies, to analyze their regularity of using drugs and syndrome differentiation. [Results]Six medical practitioners differ from each other in terms of drug frequency, drug property and flavor, classification of drug and cluster analysis of high-frequency drug, the drugs that are used the most frequently respectively: poria cocos, liquorice, radix pseudostellariae, coptis chinensis, rhizoma atractylodis and poria cocos;the drugs used by WU Liangcun, SHEN Minhe and FENG Zhengquan largely have a mild property and flavor, while the drugs used by GUO Yong, LIN Shenyou and SHAN Zesong largely have a warm property; all of the six medical practitioners use the traditional Chinese medicine of sweetish to treat the colorectal cancer;with the exception of LIN Shengyou who uses the heat-clearing drugs principally, all of the remaining five practitioners use the drugs of tonifying deficiency to treat the colorectal cancer.The high-frequency drugs of WU Liangcun are principally elecampane, coptis chinensis, carbonized sanguisorba root and purslane, the counterparts of SHEN Minhe are roots of polygonum cuspidatum, roots of fruit of thinleaf adina and Chinese actinidia root, the counterparts of GUO Yong are rhizoma atractylodis, poria cocos, radix pseudostellariae, radix paeoniae alba, lophatherum gracile, lotus leaf, Chinese actinidia root and medicated leaven, the counterparts of LIN Shengyou are elecampane, coptis chinensis, sargentgloryvine stem, dandelion and root of three-nerved spicebush; the counterparts of FENG Zhengquan are suncured ginseng, rhizoma atractylodis, liquorice, poria cocos, dried tangerine, radix paeoniae alba, scutellaria baicalensis and mangnolia officinalis;the counterparts of SHAN Zesong are poria cocos, rhizoma atractylodis, codonopsis pilosula, astragalus membranaceus and rhizoma zingiberis. [Conclusion]The six doctors take"strengthening healthy qi as essence", "tonifying spleen as first point", " clearing heat and removing toxicity", "dispelling stagnation and dampness","treatment based on syndrome differentiation"and "take good advantages of herb pairs"as the main guidelines to guide their prescription for colorectal cancer.
