Abstract:The purpose of this paper is to recall the foreign studies of transfer of development rights during the past 40 years so as to give some advice to land use and planning in China.Methods of documentation and comparison were employed.The results show that though the success of TDR depends on various conditions,it has been applied in the U.S.as a mature policy instrument.It is concluded that the application conditions and successful elements of TDR deserve further studies so as to optimize the allocation of land resource in China,and the approach of TDR program should be introduced into China.

Abstract:There were many higher institutes which were contributed by foreign individuals,groups or government for Chinese in modern times,besides the Missionary Universities.These schools included owned universities invested by foreigners who lived in China,Chinese and foreign joint universities and branch campuses of foreign universities.The others were set up abroad,including Chinese and foreign joint universities and foreign universities set up special for educating Chinese etc.Although each foreign investment on higher education for Chinese has its own purpose,the higher institutes they contributing to cultivated many urgently needed talents for China objectively,and they made some contributions to both developing Chinese higher education,and strengthening cultural and educational exchanges between China and foreign countries.

Abstract:Faced with unprecedented changes in the world, China has chosen to continue expanding its opening-up and actively cooperate with other countries. Internationalization of education is one of the important directions for the future development of universities. Since the reform and opening-up, a series of Sino-foreign cooperative education policies have been successively released, forming a relatively systematic and complete policy system. Under the promotion of policies, Chinese universities actively engage in Sino-foreign cooperative education, with increasingly frequent educational exchanges and a clear trend towards internationalization. The scale of Sino-foreign cooperative education is also constantly expanding. It is worthy to explore how to draw on advanced teaching experience from overseas, continue to promote Sino-foreign cooperative education, and improve the quality of Sino-foreign cooperative education.

Abstract:Overseas study as an intercultural communication activity of human society plays a special role in cultivating international talents and reinforcing friendship among different countries.Ever since its reform and opening up to the outside world in 1978,China has been experiencing a rapid development of its overseas education with many times of its "fever of studying abroad".In recent years,there appears a fever of coming back to China for many young Chinese adults after finishing their education overseas.At the same time,many young foreign students have come to China for their education.A dialectical view over these fevers of going out and coming back of these educated and trained young talents is an important content of our developing overseas education,optimizing human resources,and building a harmonious society in China.

Abstract:In the new era, Sino-foreign cooperative education requires new actions. To be specific, relevant systems should be formulated and implemented. As for the current Sino-foreign cooperative education system, on the one hand, China actively promotes the development of Sino-foreign cooperative education with both laws and policies. On the other hand, the quality of Sino-foreign cooperative education does not match its increase in quantity, which results from many existing problems in current systems. Therefore, efforts should be made to establish and improve relevant legal systems, strengthen government supervision, and coordinate Sino-foreign educational cooperation in an overall manner in the new era. These improvement solutions will help promote increase in both the quantity and the quality of school running, train international talents with national consciousness, serve the Belt and Road, and build a community of a shared future for mankind.

Abstract:Modern frontier education includes frontier national education,frontier political education and common sense education which is for the common people.Although the previous relative researches,which were mostly from the aspect of regional education and national education,had the advantages of their own,they failed to involve the rich historical content of modern frontier education.The discussion from the three dimensions——modern educational transformation,modern nation constitution and mutual interaction between the central government and local government,accords with the mass' understanding of frontier education,and also possibly approaches the actual condition of frontier education development within the 100 years.

Abstract:In order to make an objective description of educational situations in different historic periods,it is very necessary to examine the connotation and extension of the educational concepts in different periods.Besides,to reestablish Chinese education study,it is also necessary to dig out the theoretic resources of traditional education,set up a bridge of transforming traditional educational concepts to modern educational ones.In a sense,the research on the history of Chinese education concepts should avoid an outdated mode of being from concept to concept,instead,it should center around two aspects,i.e.the change of historical facts reflected in the concepts and the change in the words describing the comcepts to probe into the evoluting process and rules of concepts themselves.

Abstract:Mainland China's domestic academic literature on foreign issues can be regarded as a reference for its policymaking since the early stages of the “Reform and Opening Up”. This investigation constructs a multi-theoretical framework for examining and interpreting mainland China's domestic academic narrative surrounding higher education internationalization in foreign countries/regions. Taking an academic journal data-based approach, it presents the findings and further discusses China's domestic disciplinary culture in the field of international higher education studies, as well as the possible impact of such narratives on its practices.

Abstract:It has been about 30 years since China adopted an open-up and reform policy for global competition and collaboration. This opening-up policy is accompanied by a spectacular growth of the country’s economy as well as visibility in the world’s scientific literature. Also China’ competitiveness in scientific research has grown, and is mirroring the development of the country’s economy. On the other hand, international collaboration of most countries dramatically increased during the last two decades and accompanied the growth of science in emerging economies. Thus the question arises of whether growth of competitiveness in research is accompanied by an intensification of collaboration in China as well. In the present study we analyse the dynamics and the national characteristics of China’s co-operation in a global context. We also study research profile and citation impact of international collaboration with respect to the corresponding domestic ‘standards’.

Abstract:Based on an analysis of research papers about foreign literature published in our country's relevant periodicals during the period of 2000-2004, this paper points out that studies on foreign literature in China over recent years are ever increasingly developing.Such a development finds expression in an extension and deepening of the research content,in an expansion of the research ranks,and in an elevation of the research quality.It can be envisaged that the Chinese studies on foreign literature will have a leap in the following five to ten years and produce a considerable influence in the international academic circles.

Abstract:The paper analyzed the current status and policy evolution of international education industry in China based on statistical data of the education market scale, source countries, education levels and study subjects. It is found that the international education in China has undergone three major stages, including the stage of “unified national management dominated by politics”, the stage of “exploration of the model for self-financed study abroad”, and the stage of “all-round open development”. The achievements of international education industry are closely related to the key policies in the 3 stages. The research shows that the scale of international education in China is basically the same as that in the developed countries but there exists a big import and export deficit since China has slightly smaller international market share. Asian and African countries are the main sending countries of international students, and students from these countries prefer to receive academic education in China than those from Europe and America. In terms of major subjects, Chinese language and literature are still the main subjects, but engineering, economics and management are becoming more popular. Finally, suggestions are made on how to further expand the international education market and optimize the international education structure in China.

Abstract:International exchange is an important part of China’s educational opening up, cooperation, and connection with other countries. It also serves as a unique strategic resource, helping to develop and consolidate mutual political trust, diplomatic exchange, economic and trade relations, cultural exchange and educational cooperation between China and other countries in the world, thereby enhancing China’s international image. We have seen positive contributions made to our progress towards peace among peoples, and noted the irreplaceable role played by China. International educational exchange is an important part of global international student flows. Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China, especially in the 40 years of reform and opening up, China has experienced a development process in education from language students to students at all levels and from quantity to quality. The change in the type of international students studying in China and of Chinese students studying abroad reflects the Chinese spirit and the broadening the appeal of China’s programs. It can be interpreted as the fulfillment of the “Chinese Dream,” contributing to national revitalization. The trade imbalance between exporting countries and destination countries in international educational exchange has been reduced.

Abstract:By means of fix quantify and statistic analysis to publish year,magazines distribution,high yield authors,research units and degree paper about international students recorded in CNKI data base from 2000 to 2009,this paper discovers that education's research for international students in the past ten years has the characteristics of abroad research field,notable research findings,dynamic research progress,valuing internal students' otherness,paying attention to normalization of international students' management control system,enhancing qualitative research,strengthening case analysis.Future research has to broaden research view,pay attention to research of quality of teaching,expand research channel,enlarge influence of fruit,optimize research team,improve research level,to accelerate the progress of internationalization of Chinese international students' educational business.

Abstract:In the process of internationalization of Chinese higher education,there are two processes: one is to get more foreign scholars and experts to work in China,and the other is to send scholars and students to study abroad.Current research has given more attention to the Chinese brain drain issues,and less discussion on foreign experts and scholars who come to teach and carry out research in China.Existing statistics shows an increasing trend of the number of foreign scholars and students coming to China.The scopes of the research done by these foreign scholars are also expanding.This paper discusses the policies,the changing patterns and problems of foreign scholars who come to work in Chinese universities through their development course.

Abstract:This paper applies bibliometrics visualization analysis software CiteSpace-6.1.6 and CNKI as the data source and analyzes the literature published in domestic journals during 1994-2022, in order to understand the development trend and main issues of cross-cultural communication in the field of international Chinese education. The results of bibliometric cluster analysis show that in the past 30 years, the research topics in this field mainly focus on 17 clusters, including “culture”, “Chinese language”, “cultural communication”, “differences”, “international students”, “cultural differences”, “Chinese as a foreign language”, “cultural connotation”, “foreign language teaching” and “cross-cultural”. According to the analysis of cited information, “cultural difference”, “pragmatic mistakes”, “Chinese as a foreign language”, “cultural communication”, “cross-culture”, “cultural teaching” and “cultural difference” are the most concerned topics. “Case study” and “teaching design” are the research trends and hot spots in this field in the past two years. This paper not only reviews the history of cross-cultural studies in international Chinese education, but also looks forward to the future development of cross-cultural studies in international Chinese education.
